    Blissful escapes: my unforgettable experience

From the moment I arrived at Marival Armony, I was captivated by the warm and welcoming vibe. It truly felt like a home away from home. The staff at the resort always greeted everyone with genuine smiles and kindness, creating a positive and uplifting atmosphere. Whenever we sat down anywhere, staff members promptly came to assist us, whether at dining spots or on the beach. They would check if we needed another umbrella or drinks, always making us feel cared for. Their kindness filled my heart with gratitude, and every single one of them was wonderful. Marival Armony became my sanctuary for peace, relaxation, and happiness—a perfect escape I look forward to returning to in the future. I was amazed by the variety of wellness and fun activities available. The Watsu and Sound Healing sessions with Victor and Wendy were absolute highlights—magical experiences beyond words. The yoga classes by nrg2go also added special touches; both morning sessions at the yoga deck and evening classes at the palapa near the ocean were truly enchanting. It was beautiful sharing in the tranquil energy of the space. Morning yoga, accompanied by the sounds of chirping birds and the vibrant energy of nature, created an indescribable ambiance. I later learned about the sacred significance of a nearby tree, which deepened my appreciation for how the resort honored and preserved the sanctity of nature. Additionally, I enjoyed an aqua fitness class led by Memo, whose infectious energy kept smiles on our faces throughout. Each moment spent at this resort felt delightful and enriching. The food was exceptional, offering a wide array of choices. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by how well my dietary needs were accommodated at every dining spot, ensuring I never felt limited in my options. Every step I took within the resort felt like walking through paradise, adorned with beautiful scenery. I wholeheartedly recommend Marival Armony to anyone seeking a restorative getaway filled with kindness, wellness, and wonderful food. I cannot wait for my next visit!

    Armony

The food is excellent. And Mario’s service by the pool, Elizabeth’s service at Blend, and Fabian’s service at the Essence was awesome! Only complaint would be that it’s a kids friendly resort as of April 1st and we didn’t know this when booking and weren’t told until we got here. The people we came with did receive a credit on one of their rooms and we were told there was no credit for our room for this confusion.

    Not Adult Only anymore….

Currently staying at the Marival Armony for a family vacation! A lovely small resort with amazing food. Great service from Mario, Elizabeth and Fabian. Would definitely recommend!! Was some confusion at check in. When we booked, this resort was Adult Only and that was the reason why we booked here. On April 1, 2025, they changed it to add children. We were promised a $150 spa credit per room and all we have received so far is one spa credit out of our rooms….. we will see what happens. So disappointed in the change from the Adult Only but not much we can do and unfortunately, they know it!

Mostly all pros and not many cons

My wife and I stayed here from 4/14/25-4/18/25. The resort was extremely nice and it is only 6 years old, so all is still very new and contemporary. The pros- Food was excellent at the ala carte restaurants and the buffet as well. The buffet had made to order omelets, hamburgers, tacos and a ton of other options. It is also at a great location between the side of the pool and the beach. They had a few pools, but the main pool had a swim up pool bar, it was large, infinity edge and a great view of the ocean. Lounge chairs at the pool were padded, comfy and each pair of loungers had an umbrella (this is an anomaly at most resorts). Pool service was always on point, fast, food and drinks were all great. The restaurants were all both exceptional with the food, service and ambiance. Spa was excellent in all categories you'd expect. Gym was large and had all you'd expect, plus things you wouldn't expect like a Pilates reformer. Beach- extremely nice, water was only set back about 150 feet from the edge of the resort (it is a 1/4 mile walk if you stay in Puerto Vallarta), it was all sand, no rocks and the surf break was very mild, so very swimmable. Grounds were very well maintained. Room service was the same caliber of food and service as the ala carte restaurants. Rooms were massive (we had a 1 bedrooms suite), well laid out and the bed was very comfortable. Cons- Our room 2301 was directly below the rooftop restaurant. Anytime a dining room chair was slid upstairs, the sound would resonate through entire room to the point of where it would wake you up if sleeping. I cannot stress how loud it was and how the sound somehow perfectly transferred through the block walls like a tuning fork, into all of our room. Not many food options. Although the food was amazing, there were only 2 ala carte restaurants to eat at for dinner and the buffet was closed. The buffet was open on the weekends (when we didn't stay) and I am guessing that the buffet would be open every night if they were busy, but it was closed at night while we were there. Location is great for the amenities, but if you want to do anything or go anywhere, then you are very far off of the beaten path. You are looking to walk somewhere for shopping, dining or activities, then it is not going to happen. The rack rate prices- Although the resort is nice, very nice, I would never pay their posted rack rates of $550 a night or whatever they are. In the US, yes the price would be astounding for this type of resort, but in Mexico they are just all too common. Timeshare/vacation club/residence club sale presentation- Unless you are paying the full rack rate, then you are likely committed to attending a sales presentation. Unless you are strong willed at saying no, then good luck. They are all the same, in that they will start with you eating breakfast or lunch, the salesperson will be attractive, complementary and relatable. They will ask you all types of innocent sounding questions during your meal, but they are all based on how to sell you their product an hour later. You will be walked through the resort, they will show you the 1 bedroom suite and eventually end up at the rooftop lounge with your seats facing the ocean view. They will explain that they aren't selling you a timeshare "Oh God no, those are horrible", but rather a way for you to pre-pay for your vacations at a very reduced rate. From there, it is a combination of every sales tactic in the world, there will always be a rebuttal to anything you have to refute what you have to say and all else. It will start with one offer, but then they can cut it down to this offer. OK, OK, we will bring it down to this price, no interest and also throw in all of these extras. If you get to this point and still say now, then they will offer you one last loss leader offer that admittedly it a great deal, but we still passed. It was for like $3,500, it included 3 years of 7-10 day trips, plus an additional 4 night trips. It was a great offer, but I just wasn't about it. The resort used to be all adults, but as of this month they started allowing kids too. There weren't many when we were there, even though it was spring break, but I feel the ambiance of this type of resort will be ruined if they keep an open door policy to kids. I have kids, and I love them, but the whole selling point of this resort is the spa-like ambiance of a super chill resort, so once you add crying babies and twins fighting over what they are going to order for lunch; the resort vibe is dead. It isn't big enough to have a kids area and the one pool that they have specifically for adults is secluded away from the main ocean view infinity edge pool. No bueno. All in all, I feel that we'd stay here again, but I am not sure we would want to come back more than that; there are simply too many options in Mexico, so we can be picky and we'd like somewhere that had these amenities, but also closer to shopping, more dining options and no more timeshare presentations. I don't care about the savings, we are over these high pressure sales that end up wiping a day off of your stay. Ain't nobody got time for that!

No longer adults only...but also no accommodations for anyone under 18

Just spent a week here with my husband and another couple. Overall had a wonderful vacation. Room was great, pool and beach fantastic, overall good food, and yes, the entertainment team are really wonderful people =) as was all the service all around the resort (restaurants, pool, room cleaners). I give them 10/5 stars! However, after 3 days, the resort filled a lot more with families with children of all ages. It completely changed the feeling/vibe at the resort. I don't mind kids, but...went from seeing no kids for 3 days to having at least 5-10 in the pool at all times, and generally everywhere, all around. Getting chairs poolside was no issue the first 4 days. The last 2 days, all were taken by about 8:30am. Also went from no lines at the made to order food stations of the buffet to lines always 5-10 people deep... The resort's activities are still only for adults - yoga, breathing workshops, beer pong in the pool, etc. Also witnessed teenagers turned away from using the gym as you have to be 18 years old. And there's no other kids or teen club areas. Perhaps this will change...? So if you're looking for adults only, I wouldn't recommend, and if you bring your kids, understand there's no activities for them.
