Apr 25, 2025Good resort but need to address lack of beach loungers.
Overall really enjoyed the visit. The resort is small so easy to get around. The rooms were a little dated but very clean and well maintained. Buffet was really good with a wide variety and changes every meal (and hot). A La cartes were hit and miss - Italian was great, French just OK, Brazilian not great. Lunch bar on the beach had great burgers. Service was really good. Any issues I had were dealt with quickly and properly. Drinks were good and the bartenders paid attention to details especially at the sports bar. I found the staff very friendly and happy to help guests. If you want to go for walks the beaches are great in both directions (I would recommend walking to the Mosquito bar). My only real beef with the resort was the beach loungers. The first 3-4 days of our trip there were not enough and one day someone accused my wife of stealing loungers and belongings when in fact it was security that took them because the people "reserved" them at 5:30 AM with towels. This could easily be fixed with more chairs and stricter enforcement of those "reserving" chairs. Overall really enjoyed the visit.

Such an amazing experience! The staff, the food, The hotel, everything was great! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to expérience Samana. The beach is incrédule too!! You have to visit!! We can't wait to go back!! Thank you for the memories Bahia Principe!!

Family and couple friendly
Just returned from a week's vacation and I can honestly say it was one of my best vacation experiences ever. The resort was very upscale, clean well lit everywhere we went. The rooms were very clean and well equipped. The food, which was everywhere was always above expectations, (burgers by the beach were amazing) Bars were always available and never failed to deliver

A holy week family trip
The whole hotel is amazing!!! The staff, the restaurants, the lobby... everything was wonderful. The restaurant in front of the sea has a beautiful view. I love the sport bar and the people who is working there has a respectful way, I love it.

Best resort I've been to
This is the best resort I've been to, everything from the staff to the beach was excellent. Beach was clean with plenty of chairs to accommodate everything. Lots of owl trees if you want shade and lots of areas if you want to sunbathe. Plenty of activities to do during the day and night. Rooms are beautiful cleaned everyday if you wish it you can skip housekeeping. Fridge is stocked with beer and pop everyday. Buffet has ample choices if did to cover everyone's diet. Highly recommend the Brazilian restaurant it was delicious. Definitely planning our next trip back. Only thing I can recommend is that they get bigger pillows.
