Jan 17, 2025Restricted use of the hotel which they hid, never disclosed
It is our second time here (family of 3 adults and 3 kids) and we thought we’d come here once a year until today. They cancelled our dinner reservations due to large event occupying half of the hotel. Offered a late night option instead (my kids are asleep that late!) Apparently, we cannot use half of the hotel now. Even though we paid the full price for 2 rooms knowing we would enjoy what we paid for. “There is nothing we can do” is what hotel management told us. I am furious that they tried to hide the fact!! Not a thing you’d want to hear on your birthday! Very disappointed as they did not have any information or notice about hotel restricted amenities availability. We loved the beach, the service and came second time to fully enjoy. Such a big disappointment this time.

Absolutely amazing!!! Crystian and Gildardo were soooo sweet and efficient and awesome, we had a great time and the courses are awesome and huge, come hungry, leave full af. the espresso martinis are great…… the soup is a great cleanser in between

We thoroughly enjoyed being upgraded to the Barcelo Riviera Maya Adult Only hotel. My only complaint is that many of the activities cost additional money. It was very misleading to believe we would have free access to bowling, escape room, surfboarding, gokarts, etc. The hotel/beach is absolutely beautiful!!
