  Excellent

  We have been having an absolutely wonderful time. This is the second time here and we will definitely return! The food is delicious, always lots to choose from and plenty to go around. The rooms may be a little dated in some parts of the resort, but the cleaning staff are always sure to do a great job at keeping them clean. Guest Services is great to deal with and last, but not least...the entertainment crew is awesome. So many fun games and they keep you on your toes. Yolanda is always smiling and refreshing. Looking forward to the rest of our vacay and returning :)

  Not the greatest experience.

  Food and drinks were delicious. Staff were friendly. Beautiful location. Other than that, we didn’t enjoy our stay enough to want to go back. The resort is older and needs quite a bit work and repairs to make it a high quality experience: deck & beach chairs are ripped and dirty, pool tiles are missing or loose, our room smelled musty, the bathroom door kept scraping the ceiling, the high pressure time share pitch was annoying and went double over the time it would take before we left because we had plans. Plus we had an encounter with one staff member, Yolanda, that was totally, uncalled for on our second day there (which I’ve contacted Blue Bay about).

  Get your money's worth?

  How can you give this resort a 4.5 review. Photos speak louder than works so attached are some photos. All the lounge chairs are dirty and broken and also at the beach. The pool tiles are slippery and broken. See for yourself: You get the picture. The owners do not upgrade. I have been coming to this resort since it opened and they are using the same photos. By the way - the all-inclusive drinks they are using tastes horrible. I will not be coming back.

  Two Nights of Trouble During Easter Break

  I stayed at Blue Bay Villas from April 15th to 22nd. I usually don’t write comments, but the first two days of my stay at this hotel were so stressful that I decided to share my experience. My partner and I look forward to taking a one-week vacation in the Dominican Republic or Cuba every spring. We typically choose 4- or 5-star hotels and book packages offered by airlines in Canada, which rarely disappoint. However, this time was an exception. First, when we arrived at our room and used the bathroom, the door wouldn’t close properly. If we tried to close it completely, the doorknob became very stuck. The next was the refrigerator wasn’t cold at all, and the shower barely had hot water—even at 6 AM. The technician checked the shower and excused limited amount of hot water because many people use the shower the same time.... The toilet required careful handling to stop the water, and the blanket was worn-out with fuzz, feeling overused. Room 2302 was so bad my partner joked it might be a storage space. Due to Easter, no other room was available immediately, but the front desk moved us to a better room on the third day. Then the new room did not have any issues like room 2302. Sadly, the delay prevented us from joining a city tour. Despite these issues, staff were friendly, and the buffet was enjoyable. Despite these issues, the staff were friendly, and we enjoyed the buffet meals. During the stay, there was a recruitment of their 10 years membership program. I felt the hotel chain company might not like the clients from the airline package clients from Canada. Even stuffs are very nice, we will not come back to this resort.

  The worse holiday ever We had three different rooms First room no air conditioning Second room toilet leak for three days Third room good but only had it for 2 nights out of 6 90% out of the staff could not even smile Service is bad Never going back
