- Other Local AttractionsAltos de Chavon artists village is a vibrant cultural community perched above the Chavon River. cobblestone paths, coral stone fountains and terra cotta buildings create a magical effect in this village designed by Roberto Coppa, an Italian architect who at the time was a Paramount movies set designer. He built Altos de Chavon in the late 1970s to emulate a 15th century southern Italy-southern Spain village. Visitors today discover craft workshops, artists’ studios, galleries and restaurants. Weddings are frequent at the St. Stanislaus Church, as few places can be more romantic than Altos de Chavon. The performing arts are showcased in the village’s 5,000-seat amphitheatre, inaugurated in 1982 by Frank Sinatra and is still attracting top name performers. Visit the Regional Museum of Archaeology, a small but wonderful display of the Island’s rich pre-Columbian heritage. The Art Gallery features contemporary art exhibitions.

We stopped in for lunch at Piazzetta during a day trip. Loved the place. We were fortunate to have Victor and Angel as the service was excellent. You can’t beat the atmosphere. Get the hummus appetizer if you can. Coming back for the ravioli later!

Hidden Gem
We came for lunch and were not disappointed! Gorgeous views and authentic Italian food. Victor and Angel at La Piazetta ensured that we had a memorable lunch. Very knowledgeable on food, wine and beer recommendations. Cannot wait to come back!

Amazing huge resort! All the activities, with amazing golf and tennis. We will be back soon. The food was interesting and varied I would not hesitate to share with anyone who would like to join in the fun. There is lot of fun and freedom for the whole family. I wish the place were smaller but the expanse is nice too!

Apr 23, 2025Worst Experience Ever - Terrible Hospitality
This is hands down the worst place i have ever vacationed. Forget that our pillows in the premier club rooms smelled of mildew, the service is lacking, or that the consierge team consistently messed up dinner reservations. Its the fact that they are LIARS and scammed my family out of thousands of dollars is my real issue. We had last minute booked a private boat between 3 families towards the end of the day for then following day. I went to confirm the details within the premier club at 5pm. Upon receiving what the total added fees and taxes we realized they were much more than we anticipated. So, 20 minutes after booking i asked (in person at the premier club consierge desk) if we were able to cancel since we had JUST booked it and if there was a charge to cancel. I was told yes you can cancel it and there is no charge. Great! we all went off to dinner (only find they didnt have our reservation again). When arriving back to the premier club at 10:30 my friend went to confirm our following dinner reservation given our bad luck so far. When she reached the desk a staff member told us the boat was not canceled. Then two staff members called my room at 11pm waking up my kids, to tell me i did not cancel the boat...impossible...i was there in person and spoke directly with a staff member, i 100% canceled. They insisted i canceled a different boat (what?! what boat? i only had one thing booked). The following conversations consisted of the premier club team telling me i am wrong and that i didnt cancel the boat. This felt like a giant scam. I tried talking to as many managers as i could and all of them were ruder than the next. I even had other guests overhearing my situation come up to me and say it was unbelievable how wrong the staff was being. complete strangers thought they were wrong. They proceed to charge me $2k for not going on the boat. To be clear, i understand a cancellation policy. If when i went to cancel i was told there was a fee, or that i cant...i would have understood. To have so many staff members essentially call me a liar is not any sort of hospitality. I refuse to let any one i know ever visit this place. It was so incredibly awful for so many reasons.

Great Experience
Great place, with a lot of things to do! My first time in Casa y Campo, and I was very impressed and exceeded my expectations. I will plan on staying there again for more days, so I can take advantage of all the facilities and features that the complex has.
