    After a day of adventure exploring the volcano and historic Hilo town, sit down and unwind at the Wai'oli Lounge, with its picturesque view across Hilo Bay. Wai'oli means "Happy Water" and what better way to end the day  (or to start the day) happily with a refreshing Lava Flow or Mai Tai!  Beer, wine, well drinks and more exotic tropical drinks are available.

  • WSW The Steakhouse
    The letters “WSW” represents Whiskey Steak and Wine and occupies 5,600 square feet in the area where the former Queens Court Restaurant was located and is the only true steakhouse in Hilo featuring first-class steaks, an array of seafood, the best wine list in East Hawaii and a table-side Whisky Cart. 
    WSW The Steakhouse will be serving dinner daily.  The expansive menu to include and not limited to Premium Certified Black Angus steaks and chops, daily specials such as Surf & Turf, Wagyu Grade Tomahawk Live Kona-Cold Whole Lobster. A floor to ceiling walk around glass display showcases the impressive selections of wines and spirits.  If guests are Whisky enthusiasts, we have a Whisky Cart with hand-picked selections that will be poured table-side.

    Great Stay!

    Great hotel! Easy check in and out. Friendly staff. Perfect location. You can walk to the Lili'uokalani Gardens. It's right on the water and has amazing views of Hilo and the bay. The room was very clean and comfortable. Loved having a mini refrigerator. Would definitely stay here again!

    Old outdated hotel.

    The rooms are really outdated. The balconies had cracks on them. A local told me it was from an earthquake. The pool is cold. The bar is nice. The restaurant is terrible. Not many places to stay in the hilo area. Next time will take the helicopter tour in waikoloa only. To see the vocano.

    Ocean View balcony room

    Perhaps we got lucky: our fifth floor ocean view room was clean and well maintained. We also did not have noisy neighbors. The beds and climate control worked fine so we all got good sleep and woke up early enough to enjoy the sun rise. The only complaints: the bath tub spout needs repair and there was not much offering at the complementary breakfast. The area was very dark at night so it limits what you can do. However I would definitely consider staying here again.

    Filthy Room, Horrible Customer Service, "Ocean View" room ruined by dilapidated roof

    We stayed in Room 344 for a week and we were disgusted by our stay. What was advertised as an “Ocean View” room without a balcony turned out to be a 3rd Floor room facing the ocean, but at the same level as the rooftop of the WSW Restaurant. The view was completely ruined by the dilapidated rooftop of WSW. The room was filthy with multiple ants crawling on the windowsill and even a cockroach on the bathroom counter. There was also a blood stain on the bathroom wall. The switch of the hairdryer was broken so it was not operational. Wallpaper is peeling throughout the room. Room service was provided only once in our 7 night stay. We requested room service through the Front Desk on Day 2 but it was not provided. We requested it again on Days 3 and 4, but it was still not provided. Room was not cleaned until Day 5, only after we spoke directly to the housekeeper. Front desk manager was absolutely useless and only deferred the blame to the Housekeeping staff.

    It's all about that view!

    Hilo Hawaiian never disappoints us, we have been going there for years and we always enjoy ourselves! We love the relaxing views from our balcony, the beautiful local atmosphere, and the staff is always warm, friendly, and accommodating !
