Small Resort with Potential
We traveled with a group of family/friends (15 adults). I had seriously lowered my expectations for this resort based on the reviews... It honestly was not that bad of a resort. This is a small resort that wasn't originally built to support the all inclusive model. It isn't luxury or top of the line, but it's sufficient. If you're expecting to be pampered like you might find in Mexico or the Dominican Republic, you will be disappointed. Could the rooms use some updating? Sure, but the bed was decent, the shower was hot, and the AC worked well. The room was not damp/wet, which was a pleasant surprise, especially since my Damp Rid was taken at the airport (in the US)! Ha. There are only 3 specialty restaurants for dinner and the buffet wasn't open every night for dinner. However, they did set up a nacho/fajita stand near the lobby bar one night (the chicken was great) and there were various other food options throughout the week in a similar fashion. The entertainment team does a great job. The crowd interaction is stellar. Several of the entertainment team members (dancers) came to work early on our departure day, to see us off. That was a nice touch! Livy & team were great! Mekayl (sp) at the pool bar, De Shaun & the entire bartending team at the lobby bar were great! The Coffee on the Beach drinks were the best! Rent a car (Wheels to Go), if you're traveling during high season, book ahead of time, explore the island! Curacao is beautiful!

Don’t stay here
The rooms were disgusting. The walls and doors were peeling and moldy. We had a constant tiny puddle underneath the entrance to the bathroom due to the leaky AC unit. There were holes in the curtains and blankets on the bed. Even the shower curtain was gross. I don’t think anything on this resort has been upgraded in 40 years. The beach chairs also had holes in them and broken seams. The towels were very old as well. The toilets on the main level were absolutely disgusting. The only reason I didn’t rate this a 1 is because the location was very nice and the food, drinks and entertainment were decent but still not great. They also had comfortable mattresses but that is it. I would return to Curacao but never stay here again.

Great chill resort
Second time here, food good as always. Very chill vibe we love and big bar at night to just chill. The area that you can access the beach is even smaller now with the new addition of the pods and security will not let you walk across to that part. Not many kids both times we went because school was in so it was a very relaxing place for a small property. $20 cab ride to town is nice. Stayed inland and ocean front both pretty view.

Tired old worn Resort - Don't GO!!
Very disappointed with this resort. When I went to my agent I was told it was a 5 Star, but I do not think I would even give it a 3. Restaurants were all outdoors, Food was just ok, the buffet had the same foods, the Portofino (Italian) was terrible, and most of these restaurants had a barage of birds during the day while we ate or mosquitoes in the evening. The resort was quite dated, but even so, they did not do any maintenance or change out broken items in the rooms or beach chairs. It sits on a lovely property, and shame on Hyatt for not sending their head office to inspect the premises. Some appeared to require simple fixes. The towel bars were warn and looked moldy, the main bathroom outside was disgusting and smelly. This is not a way to greet your patrons upon arrival. The pool area overlooked the ocean, but the beach area to the right of the pool was very small, and we coiuld NOT get chairs on the beach even 1 day of the 10 we stayed at the resort. I cannot suggest this resort to anyone. The entertainment was horrible at best. The maid service did not come in every day, and would come in after 5 pm on 2 of the 10 days. It was not what I was told it would be (5 Star), and I would be too kind to give it a 2 Star.

So disappointing
The hotel is run down and needs serious renovation. The rooms were musty (everything smelled moldy when we got home), and dingy. The bathroom ceiling leaked water (maintenance replaced ceiling tiles), the beach chairs and umbrellas were ripped, saggy, or broken, etc. Service was spotty. You never knew when beach towels would be available, so you had to hoard them when they were. Service in the restaurants was hit or miss. We chose not to pay for the NYE event ($150 per person) and they closed the buffet so the rest of us peons had the Italian restaurant fare. My dish was supposed to have shrimp and steak - no shrimp. They only had three servers and dinner took three hours. Bar service was also dependent on the server - you quickly learned who could not mix a decent drink. Food quality was spotty as well; nothing spectacular and solely served as nourishment (our best meal was on a tour). Gave two stars instead of one because I had a medical issue and the staff was able to get me prompt medical care. Definitely not what I expected from a Hyatt owned property.
