  Great experience

  We had a fantastic stay at Dreams Estrella Del Mar Mazatlán! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process as a Globalist was smooth and welcoming — The staff (Neyra) made us feel extra special as a Globalist. The Preferred Club Lounge was a standout highlight. Not only was the atmosphere relaxing and upscale, but it also featured some of the best drinks. The bartender there was top-notch — friendly, professional, and made some incredible cocktails that really elevated the experience. We had the best server at the outdoor restaurant, Lucero. She took exceptional care of us and made sure my two kids got everything they wanted and more. Our room was brand new, beautifully designed, and featured a stunning oceanfront view. Waking up to the sight and sound of the Pacific was the perfect start to each day. Everything felt fresh, clean, and well thought out for comfort and luxury.   Perfect Family Getaway!

  LOVED our time here. This resort is perfect if you are not looking of an overly complicated trip that has something for everyone you need to go. While it is on the quieter side (less people) it’s still busy enough to meet new friends and have a great time. Plus you don’t have to get up early to save a chair by the pool as there were always ones available. The rooms are super clean and well maintained. The food and drinks were NEVER in short supply and the staff were incredible. Shout out to Antonio with the entertainment team, Victor with concierge, Geovanni, Sergio, Omar and Alonso at the pool bar! The app was also a nice touch, I loved that we could see everything that was going on and my kids especially loved ordering room service! We were sad to leave!

  Amazing Time At Dreams Estrella

  We are almost halfway through our trip and have yet to find anything to complain about. From the service to rooms to food and everything in between, our experience has been incredible! So many wonderful people here - Antonio in entertainment, Hernan and Hector the poolside servers to name a few, they are all amazing. We have seen dolphins every day and saw whales today too - they will ring the bell when they see anything. You can walk along the beach as far as the eye can see and because you are outside of Mazatlan there are no beach vendors pushing sales on you. Anything we’ve eaten has been unbelievable. The rooms are amazing and all have ocean views. We got a room on the highest floor (7 levels total) so we lucked out! The Hyatt Inclusive app has been very helpful so highly recommend downloading it before you come. We also recommend bringing your own floaties for the lazy river. This resort was a great find and we would definitely come back!

  A hidden Gem that a lot of vacationer's aren't aware of yet! Take advantage of this while you can!

  This resort is only about 1 year old, so not a lot of people know about it. We just got back and heard it was only about 40% capacity, but I would guess more like 20%. Even on the busiest days the main swim-up bar pool was nearly empty and every restaurant we visited was nearly empty all of the time. Reviewers have complained not a lot is opened, and service is slow, but if that was true, it's not any more. I feel like they ramped up their staff, but now a lot of the staff (esp in the restaurants) are just standing around half the time because they have no one to serve. The Good: -The resort is super close to the airport, so expect to pay 720 peso's round trip for 4 ppl if you prepay your trip back -The rooms are great. Beds are OK. Every room is front facing to the ocean. -The center pool is heated and honestly almost too warm mid-day. There's a shallow half (2 feet) and a deep half (4ft) so it's perfect for toddlers and kids. The swim-up bar pool is about 4ft deep as well, and like the lazy river, both are not heated, and can feel a little chilly for about 5 seconds, then they're amazing. Anyone complaining they are too cold are way too soft. They're great. -The pool-side service is fantastic and all the staff here (and honestly everyone we encountered in Mazatlan are super friendly) -The resort is pretty quiet, esp. at night. I often times saw no guests in the lobby bar or Sports bar, and we were usually only one of about 3-4 tables eating at any given restaurant at night. -The beach has nice sand, but the rip tides are very strong, so you cannot go in the ocean -Each restaurant seemed to be closed twice a week, but that still always left you with 3-4 options for supper each night. They also did outdoor lunch / suppers in addition to restaurants 2-3x a week. The buffet was always open for breakfast and lunch and only a couple times for supper. The bad (not bad, just some improvements that could be made): -The sliding patio doors are not very sound proof at all. I checked 2 rooms because I thought ours was completely faulty, but the other was like that. So be aware that noise will get through, which may be a problem if you want to take a siesta. We planned our naps accordingly based on what the pool-side activity schedule looked like. Honestly it wasn't a problem. And at night it was so quiet around the resort, all you heard were the waves. It wouldn't stop me from visiting again -The food was OK. I would say everything else at this resort is a true 5 Star, but the food is a 4 Star. Everything was fine, and nothing was necessarily bad, but for a weeks worth of meals, I would say we only had 4 dishes that were so good I would have expected them from a fancy restaurant back home. Every other meal If I would have paid for them at a restaurant at home, I would have been a bit disappointed. Again, would it stop me from visiting again? No. But beware if you're expecting incredible culinary experiences, don't come here. All in all, a really fantastic resort and we were super happy with our stay. We highly recommend going before it starts to get packed to capacity (which it eventually will).

  Great place with great staff. It's new so there are a few tweaks that would be great to make but overall it was great.

  We went for a week vacation here with 2 other couples. The weather was wonderful. The room was great and the view was great also. Positives: We only went in the Preferred Pool. The temperature was great and the pool staff was wonderful. Fernando and his crew at the preferred pool bar were amazing! They were super friendly, their service was fantastic and they also had a lot of fun with us and put up with our shenanigans. Our room was nice and was cleaned well everyday. Several of the staff! Santiago and Jeffrey at the preferred lounge bar were super personable and made fantastic drinks! We had some great laughs with them. At the breakfast buffet Sandra at the egg station was so smily and welcoming every morning. Loved her energy! Arturo did a great job serving us on our last day. Francisco who was our waiter at Portofino and at the Ocean restaurant was fantastic also. The second time he saw me he remembered I was gluten free and was all prepared for me. It was wonderful!!! The staff really made our experience great. Negatives: In our room: The incense thing was glued to the countertop right next to the sink which was really in the way when getting ready in the morning. It would be better placed somewhere else. Not a huge deal but a suggestion. It would be nice if we could lower the temperature a little bit more in our room. You can not go lower than 70 degrees F. That was still quite warm sleeping at night especially with the humidity. Being allowed to go to 65-68 degree F would be great. Most nights we slept with our door open for the breeze and to listen to the waves but some nights the waves were so loud it was hard to sleep but to close the door was also a bit warm. The staff in the mornings at the buffet restaurant can really use some training. Everyday, except our last with Arturo, we had to ask for more water and coffee while we watched many staff just standing around. Maybe have someone dedicated to filling coffee/water. Other than that the food etc was great.
