It was wonderful.
My son Matt and I stayed in room 3212 from December 21, 2024 to January 3, 2025. We played golf, my son 12 out of 13 days and I golfed 3 days. We thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine from the Seafood, Spanish, Italian , and the Greek Restaurants. Service was exemplary. Breakfast was delicious each day at the main dining room. Each morning we ate breakfast overlooking the Pacific Ocean. This breakfast included latte and or Dark roast coffee. The staff at the pools served us with drinks and friendly conversation. Our Bar service with Manual was extraordinary, Manual greeted us each evening with excellent drinks and wonderful music. Each day we golfed Tanya arranged transport to the golf and Jesus met us with assistance to and from the airport. Angel at the front desk guided my son and I expertly through our needs. As a final note upon leaving the resort we heard Manual at the Desire Bar was fired for some reason. I write this note to say Manual was absolutely first class in making my son and I vacation to the resort wonderful and the reason for our return. James and Matthew France.

Modern vs Traditional
Toxic Air Quality spewing from Oil Burning Power Plant a few km away. If you have respiratory breathing you may want to reconsider staying at the Dreams . We booked Dreams simply to get away from the annoying Tin bands called BANDA that have now overtaken most of the golden zone Hotels. Horrible grating out of tune music banging on tinny drums crashing symbols and trombones. Golden sandy beaches stretch on forever. A Hidden Gem is the Barista who makes the most wonderful Coffee. The Dreams staff employees are remarkable. Big Shout out especially to Victor who is the Best Ambassador promoting the Hotel. Favorite restaurant is Oceana. Oscar Carlos is a terrific waiter. The Buffets waiters are all great especially Viviana, and Arturo. Sara is amazing. Not sure where Kids are allowed to eat at night when the Buffet is closed. The layout of the Hotel is frustrating and awkward to navigate. The kids Huge slide and play area uses up 1/3 of the resort. Not sure what the planners were thinking designing this layout. This is definitely a resort catering to Family's not ADULTS. If your looking for quiet peaceful areas not too many places to hide out or to get away from the LOUD Music or screaming kids. Dreams is a work in a progress with many deficiencies to be cleaned up and repaired Rooms are beautiful. Beds are very comfy. In summary Hotel is ...4 Star Staff is ... 5 Star.

Abel - Saves the day!
Currently at the resort and would like to give a big shout out to Abel, the mixologist at the adult pool! He really knows how to make the best and tastiest beverages! He is very knowledgeable in things beverage related but also about the resort and surrounding area! Highly recommend you stop by and see him!

Great experience!!
Overall we had an excellent time at Dreams Estrella del mar Mazatlan. Rooms - the rooms are great no complaints. Shower is spacious and amazing with different functions. Beds are comfy and the room has all the amenities one needs including a scale, a steamer, an umbrella, you can even sign in to your own Netflix on the TV. The rooms overall were 5/5. New hotel so everything is beautiful. Our view from the 7th floor was wonderful but by the looks of it all the rooms would have beautiful views. Food - we will start with the Buffett. The Buffett was good plenty of different hot and cold options but we only went for breakfast. They have an assortment of options just like any other Buffett at an AI. We tried the Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean and their seafood restaurant and all were great. The Mexican was our least favourite and the Mediterranean and Italian were our favourite. We went back to the Italian 3 times. One thing about this resort for us is that the food was top-notch in our opinion, and the service at each of these restaurants were amazing. We will say the dishes have beautiful presentation. Also just to add, the barefoot grill located next to the pool serves some of the best poolside options we have experienced from pizza, quesadillas, burgers, fries, nuggets etc. the coco cafe is also great with plenty of options from coffee, juices, sandwiches, fruit, muffins etc. Pool - we usually stayed around the swim up bar pool and for 4/7 days it was very warm and relaxing. The other days it seemed as they turned the heater down but it wasn’t so much of an issue until closer to the evenings. The swim up bar is not manned and takes awhile to get a drink but they do pop back and forth from the dry side often. This really to us is not a big deal as we could dry side ourselves also. The poolside servers were around often and very friendly. Look out for Marcos he was our favourite hands down, friendly and took such good care of us!! For spots around the pool, first come first serve and we did go down reasonably early but there’s always spots to sit which was a nice breath of fresh air compared to some other resorts. Service - the service here is top notch. As we said, Marcos and many others really set the bar. I would go back for the good personalized service itself. From the restaurant staff, room service, bartenders, and front desk everyone is great! Beach - was beautiful to walk on every morning. They do not recommend swimming due to the undertow and while we were there (beginning of January), some servers told us it was jellyfish season so we opted out going into the ocean. They also have a bell that people can ring when they see dolphins or whales so that way everyone can hear the bell and know to look at the ocean! This was an awesome feature so as your laying by the pool you’re not missing out on seeing these beautiful creatures! While we were there we saw whales the first day and saw dolphins pretty much every other day! Would definitely recommend this resort to others!!

Amazing Birthday and New Year’s Eve Celebration
We were at Dreams Estrella del Mar Mazatlán Golf & Spa Resort Dec.30, 2024 - Jan. 5, 2025. We were celebrating my birthday and New Year’s Eve! We had 4 adults, 14 year old, and a 4 year old. We were welcomed by David from UVC., he was very knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. The staff were great. Yesenia, our butler, she was amazing, wonderful, friendly, attentive, and always making sure we had everything we needed, plus more. Super Mega Butler! Yesenia and Arturo Morales, Restaurant Manager, planned a birthday celebration for our family in The Wine Cellar. The meal was prepared by Edgar Cuevas, in charge of the kitchen, Chef Rafael and Chef Poot . The appetizer , salad and lobster was delicious ….. Chef Poot baked me a birthday cake . The cake was beautiful, chocolate, amazing, and full of calories! They all went above and beyond to make the evening perfect! The New Year’s Eve celebration was spectacular! The staff, decorations, ice sculptures, entertainment , music, party favors, food, lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters, prime rib, pork, all kinds of desserts…you name it, they had it. The fireworks were truly spectacular!!! It was an event to remember! We had 2 swim out rooms. The pool was heated. It was about 4 ft deep. Perfect for the children. The rooms were nice. The spa was great. There were many options for dinner. Entertainment every night. Nice pools, lazy river(cold), plenty of towels and chairs. There is a turtle sanctuary next door. They have a tour that is very interesting. The beach is nice. We went into town one day. Took about 45 min. It was nice and we felt safe. Went to Stone Island one day. The ride was about 20 min. It was ok…about 2hrs is all you need. Overall, the resort exceeded all expectations. It was a celebration that we will all remember and have many memories. I want to thank the staff again for an extraordinary vacation. I can’t wait to go back. See you soon.
