Leo, our butler was outstanding! We were introduced upon arrival, taken on a golf cart tour of the resort, shown our room and amenities and checked on daily. Leo made sure each day we had what we needed, made our dinner reservations and picked us up nightly to take us to them. Fantastic customer service, kind, and prompt. Alejandro at the Preferred Club pool bar was fantastic! Always cheerful, fun, smiling and took great care of us. Nelis, Preferred Club pool bar waitress was always smiling, cheerful, and happy to serve you. Everyone else was just as cheerful. We had an excellent time!

A great choice for a vacation in the DR!
What a great resort! Just the right size (not to big or overwhelming) and with something for everyone. A section with a lazy river and water slides, pools where you can swim longer distances, pools where you can lounge, plenty of chairs and shade by beach, great restaurants, and wonderful staff. Recommend highly!

Fantastic vacation at Dreams Onyx!
We went back to Dreams Onyx in January 2025, after getting married there in February 2023. Both times were absolutely amazing and we will be back! We were a group of 30 (including 8 kids and a few seniors) for our wedding week last trip, just my husband and I the second week. This time, we were two couples for the first 4 days, then my husband and I for the last 3. All combinations were handled smoothly by the staff and our service was impeccable. There were food options for everyone, including a few family/friends with severe celiac, allergies, a vegetarian and a vegan. We were asked at every meal if there were any food allergies and the staff was very respectful when responding to concerns. The tacos at the taco truck are superb! We did miss the fried chicken at the beach grill this time, but finally found it in the buffet on our last night! The staff, at all levels, goes absolutely above and beyond! They are so attentive and quick to action requests. We seriously couldn’t ask for better service! I have severe back issues and did find the beds a touch firm for my liking, but you’ll never be able to get a mattress that fits all needs. We had multiple pillow options in our room, so my husband and I easily each found one that we liked! All in all, we highly recommend this resort and will absolutely be going back!

Great Family resort for all
We had a great time at Dreams Onyx. The food and drinks were very good. We had no problems getting into restaurants. We were not Preferred and didn’t miss anything except maybe the Preferred pool. The beach was very nice and the beach walk to Tropical Treasures was beautiful. Tropical Treasures is 100% a must do for a $45 1 hour massage and is only about a slow 15 minute walk. The use of Breathless next door was great for a better pool fibe. Would have no problem returning again.

Great service
Staff was great especially the towel service girl Vida. The entertainment team had you doing things all day long. Chanelin was great. The pregnant lady making espresso was great. There’s more just can’t remember all the names. Food needs to be improved but overall excellent
