I booked this resorts with High hope, but turned out kinda disapointed. The building is OLD and need major renovation. rooms are outdated. picutres you see online is photoshopped or taken long time ago. beach is average, mostly muddy water. cant blame resorts, maybe the that nature. restratunts could be improved. many people didnt speak english, mostly spansh. not much activivies within hotel to do. such as Jetski, parasailing so on.

the VIP experience is over sold and under explained upon arrival. When chatting with management about my concerns they seemed relatively uninterested in helping to redirect my experiences while there. The food was basic, nothing to write home about. The massage therapist I had was extremely nice and pleasant however she was not trained on how to do a massage that was obvious in the first 5 minutes

Very nice hotel, very nice , happy and helpfull staff New Year Eve party and fireworks were wonderful , good music and enterteinment at the pool, variety in food and very good food, drinks and also restaurants, the room was big , with a very nice view to the pool and ocean from the balcony, , every day cleaned and with water and other beverages replaced, we would come back anytime. Thanks you guys for a wonderful vacation!!!

Potential but needs renovations and better customer service training
We stayed at the resort to celebrate New Year’s Eve with family, but the experience was not great overall. At check-in, the special accommodations I had requested during booking were not acknowledged. After multiple back-and-forths, the staff finally accommodated us. I had also booked “preferred rooms” based on their advertised renovations, only to find all rooms were the same, and the preferred area was an adults-only club—not suitable for families with kids. The property is small but has a nice pool area. However, the resort desperately needs renovations. Our room had chipped doors, and the water heater had to be replaced during our stay. The hotel stairs needed repair. Customer service was inconsistent and unhelpful, both at the hotel and with the travel agency, Panamazing. The lobby staff gave us wrong information multiple times. For example, the touring company advertised one airport transfer price online but quoted a much higher price in person. When I brought this up, the agent had no explanation and suggested booking elsewhere. We also experienced issues with late checkout charges, which were miscommunicated and only resolved after speaking to a manager. The resort has four restaurants, but one is adults-only. The food was average, with desserts being the highlight. From 6 PM to 6 AM, tiny mosquitoes appear, but the hotel does provide effective bug repellent wipes. The one standout was the New Year’s Eve party, which was well-organized, entertaining, and featured excellent food, live entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display. Overall, this resort is suitable for a 1-3 day stay at most. It has potential but urgently needs renovations and better customer service training for its staff.

Gave us exactly what we were looking for plus more. Tide Pools big plus for our kids
I was nervous booking this based on the last few reviews but I am glad we did, because this resort was absolutely lovely, the views were beautiful, and the dining, size, rooms, drinks all met or exceeded our expectations! First off this is a smaller AI, but we found the size perfect for our three kids who really enjoyed a level of independence it offered them exploring on their own. Second, the buffet options at the lunch and dinner were not your normal 100+ options AI, but like 6-8 select dishes. We found this refreshing and to. be PLENTY, and the meats were all very delicious. The seafood dinner we went to was fabulous as was the wait staff. Third, the views from the pool are AMAZING. The pool is right overlooking the beach so you felt like you were on the beach, with the inifinity edge, overlooking mountains, the Panama Canal boats coming in. We LOVED the high/low tide and my kids couldn't wait for low tide everyday to explore the rocks, and found many puffer fish, porcupine fish, brittle stars and gobys. Yes the beach doesn't look great at low tide, but it was our absolute favorite time of day to to exploring for critters. We did the jungle tour the hotel offered one day, that is literally in the forest ADJACENT to the hotel and saw a coral snake and a sloth. Overall we thought the number of activities they offered was in line with a medium size AI, and the location was absolteuly PERFECT for a Panama City base where instead of being cooped up in a city hotel with three kids, they and we had the ability to roam and relax while taking day trips into the Canal, Casca Vieja and nearby islands.
