Disappointing as usual
We have been to El Cid facilities as a large family a few times because a family member was sucked into a timeshare. Every time they screw up the reservation and this time was no exception. We ended with too many people in a room because of their mistake. On top of that, hot water was unpredictable. My husband never managed to have a hot shower in 2 weeks. The sheets on the beds were the most bizarre I’ve ever seen. The bottom sheet didn’t tuck in, it just hung and had waterproof material so it felt like sleeping on a baby’s mattress and the sheets constantly bunched up making the bed uncomfortable. The food in the main dining room was mediocre at best. The hot food was warm which is a major food safety hazard. People were allowed to leave their towels on the loungers at the pool so it was impossible to get a spot. Loungers would sit empty until noon. Such a waste and unacceptable. Finally do NOT get photos from the Photoshop between El Moro and Castilla. A complete rip off the photos were horrific. They cut people off at the knees, over exposed and generally terrible. They took 90 photos and not one was decent. El Moro should be embarrassed to have them associated to their hotels. The people were friendly and the location was good and rooms were clean. Overall I would not recommend this hotel.

Golfing in January with El Cid inclusive package
We are a group of 16 golfers wanting an all inclusive resort to spend one or 2 weeks in January to get away from our cold weather here. We stayed at El Cid Marina last year and was really happy with it. However, because its a little bit away from the golf course and we have to shuttle there every time, we decided to try the El Moro this time. It's only a five minutes walk across the pedway, and we're there! Very convenient! We usually have a tee time at 10 am.and we golf every day for the 14 days we're there. We usually finish our game and want to have lunch around 2 -2:30pm. This is where our troubles begin! Every day we can only go back to LA Concha restaurant for our late lunch, I don't understand why we can't have lunch at the restaurant on the golf course! It's not included in our all inclusive package?!! Anyways, having lunch at La Concha is not a problem if we can get our food service impromptu! We have to wait at least 2 hrs to get our food, which is by then 4 or 4:30pm. We usually have dinner booked at 6 or 6:30. We were so full that we cannot enjoy our dinner food at all!! I'm really dissatisfied with the service at La Concha for lunch as well!! No one even bother to look at us until I call out to them. They would come to get our orders, then totally disappear! Another person will come and ask for our orders again after an hour!!? I later found out that's when they change shifts! But that does not mean we should get bad service! Right? I have asked to speak to manager, he came and helped on one occasion, then, the same the next day!! Please, if any management is reading this, do something!! We liked the hotel and would like to come back! The food at Marina is still the best, in my opinion. We liked the golfing and the caddies are ok.(Some of them are definitely too old!!) The one I have was great! I have him for the entire trip, his name is Jaime, but he told me to call him gimme! The courses condition is better than last year. In conclusion, we would like to come back to El Cid next year, but can't decide which one!

Great Family Destination
The El CID El Moro is an amazing family destination. The staff are always helpful and eager to help in any way they can. Rooms are very clean. Food is delicious. Drinks are never empty. The waiters work hard!! We loved Ignacio and his upbeat personality!! Beautiful hotel right on the beach with swimmable water! Loved walking on the beach and finding sea glass!

Pool was nice at the Granada, after that a bit downhill.
The food was generally cold, what could be vegetarian mostly had meat added. The resort tax covers, I don’t know what, nothing we could see. Most of the staff were pleasant and work hard. The beaches very crowded mostly by towels until people felt like showing up.

Beach beach I have ever been to
This was the most stunning, enjoyable beach I have ever been to! Walking up and down the beach, El Sid was the most lively compared to those around it - mainly because they had cabana seating right on the sand. They had staff right on the beach, so you could get top notch service no matter if you were at the pool or the beach. Our favorite staff member was Tomas. We didn’t go to the beach without him on duty :) He was attentive and kind, and remembered our favorite orders each day. The main buffet was actually our restaurant of choice. Even after dinner elsewhere, we stopped there for desert and a drink - while enjoying the ocean breeze. Jorge was our favorite server here! Thank you for a wonderful stay!
