If you’re looking for a great location, a comfortable bed to sleep at night, a hot shower and friendly staff to greet you, this is the place for you! We knew we wouldn’t be spending a lot of time at our hotel so we just wanted the basics and a price tag that reflected that. And Ewa provided! Definitely recommend and would be happy to stay again.

Dirty, dingy, old, decrepit. This building should be torn down. Needed one night, shopped by price/location without reviewing. I checked out at 0600 just to leave the place and napped at the airport. I would not wish my ex wife to have to stay here.

Ewa Hotel was perfection!
We had 6 adults and 3 rooms at the Ewa. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. This was our first trip to Oahu - the front desk staff made recommendations and were extremely friendly. The hotel is down and alley, food trucks were there and it was a friendly environment. The hotel was close to the beach and walkable to food, bars, pickup spots for tours and souvenir shopping. We finished several evenings on the rooftop watching the sun set over the beach. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. If you require fancy chain establishments, this isn't for you BUT, if you want a friendly, fun atmosphere, the Ewa is the best!

Nov 01, 2024Nice rooms close to beach, but noisy
We stayed for 2 nights at Ewa Hotel Waikiki before departing on a cruise ship. The check-in was easy and our room was enormous and comfortable. The location is on a street that is mostly a backstreet, but that was not a problem at all. The beach was a close walk, as was a store that had some food and other items (although at beachfront prices.) There were light cooking facilities in our room. The two major issues are the noise and the large resort fee (with absolutely NO resort facilities.) The noise might not be a problem for heavy sleepers. There was some loud music at night that came in through the window from someplace outside. One night there was a very loud and raucous party two rooms down from ours. It was well after midnight. After over an hour with no relief, I walked down the hall and politely let the folks know that their noise was disturbing people who were sleeping. It got considerably quieter after that (but not completely quiet.) The resort fee is a scam. They all do it in Waikiki, but there should be some element of being a resort if you are forced to pay for it.

Good value option!
I was looking for a place to sleep as my time was going to away from the room. Why spend needless money? Comfortable clean close to the beach.
