Beautiful and fun place in a gorgeous beach
The hotel is very good, rooms modern and updated, the food is good and plenty. They have a breakfast buffet with a vast variety of food and it’s open from 7am to 11am. Then at 11:30am they open the snack area again with many options (that one closes at 5pm). They also have a coffee shop with baristas and sandwiches/pastries that runs all day from 7am to 7pm. Then at 7pm the dinner buffet starts. They also have 2 other restaurants (a third one being remodeled) with fancier food that needs reservations. All of that included (even all the alcoholic drinks). The beach is incredibly beautiful (the color of the water is breathtaking) and it’s right there in front of the hotel. The waves are a little rough so not suitable for kids. The pools and hot tub are great (there’s a smaller area with a pool and the hot tub that is adults only for those that want a quieter time). On the main pools the entertainment crew have daily events throughout the day. That is definitely a part of our experience that we won’t forget. They are amazing and fun, speaking in English and Spanish all the time. The made the whole experience a level up! Kudos to Marco Polo, Israel, Julio and all the crew! Their energy and enthusiasm were contagious! And lastly they also have very good shows in their theatre every night at 9pm. It had an amazing time there and highly recommended!

Premium Experience and the Premium Bar
While there is a lack ladders to get in out of most of the pools and no stairs in the main pool our stay was great! The reason I am actually writing this review is because the bar staff at the premium bar were fantastic and I want to suggest if you are able to check it out. The premium bar at the Solaris is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink. As soon as you walk in you are hit with a warm buzz of good music, a view, and friendly bar staff… they even had hockey on the TV. What really makes this bar stand out is the amazing bartenders. The bar staff are quick to make you a drink and will definitely entertain you in the process. The flare of the bar staff combined with drink flavours you haven’t tried before make it a hidden gem!

Great time in GR Solaris.
It would be the second time, I vacationed in Cancun. This time with my family. The resort was smaller than I expected. We didn’t spent of our time in the room but in the pool area and the kids club. The entertainment team was great. Very friendly to introduce themselves to you. The kids club team was awesome. My daughter loved going there everyday which gives me the needed break on vacation. I would return to the resort in the future. I was not very impressed with the resort restaurant booking process. I was not able to book the restaurants I wanted. It was full already when we arrived. The only one time I was able to book a reservation and it was for after 9pm. I dont have the habit of eating late dinner. We did receive an upgrade of our room due to using Expedia member status. The food at the buffet was decent. I wouldn’t say it’s amazing cause it’s missing seafood section. The beach was full of seaweed. We didn’t use it at all this trip. The community did clean it daily but it’s just too much for them to clean every moment. The night entertainment crew was awesome as well. The dancers definitely put their heart and soul into the performances. Overall the stay was good. I would suggest providing food of the special restaurants at the buffet on certain days as well. This way we don’t get left out due to unable to book reservations.

Year 4 was a success.
This was our 4th year back visiting this resort. This place is great because of all the Greta people that work there. We started off each day with a great omelet breakfast from Obilia, she is great. Later as we were out by the pool the entertainment team does a great job of creating fun games and including my kids tk make sure they have a great time. Emmanuel, Marco and Gracie were awesome. They went out of their way to talk to my kids and make them feel special. When I was asking about activities for my teenagers Gracie set up volleyball game and got several other teenagers to come play. Dinner is probably the most frustrating thing about the resort. It is hard tk get a reservation at the restaurants around the resort and they are always half empty. They had a show each night and the dancers were great Julio and Laura would visit and take pictures with my kids after the show. And of course it was great to have Emmanuel and Gracie hosting the shows, karaoke or parties each week. Those 2 were great!!! It's people like these that make us return year after year!!!
