Loved our experience at Grand Sirenis!
I travelled as a single mother with 2 kids ages 14 and 11 and really enjoyed our time here! For the price we paid, I feel we got excellent value and would go again. Safety is a priority for me and I was quite comfortable letting the kids go around with their friends without me and not worry. Resort - the resort itself is quite large and spread out. Grounds and public areas were well maintained and clean. Rooms - no mold, clean, good air conditioning, mini fridge was always stocked. Basic but no complaints! We were in block 21 which was pretty central and our balcony has a nice garden view. I heard complaints about lack of elevators (not an issue for us as we were on ground floor) but keep that in mind if you don't want to be doing stairs. Beach / ocean - gorgeous! Never a shortage of chairs on the beach and you could move around freely between pool / beach without having to "hold" chairs. They even had lifeguards. Beach goes on forever for those who like to walk. There is no drink service on the beach but there was a beach bar. If you walk to the left (when facing the ocean) you will find some vendors and the "Dominican Walmart". Prices are cheaper here and always remember to barter! Cheap hair braiding as well. Pools - so many pools! My only issue was that all but 1 were deep and you can't touch. We were happy I had brought pool floaties with us to use but you can buy there as well. The swallow pool with the swim up bar was packed all the time so we just used the other ones and avoided the crowds. Just like the beach, no shortage of loungers any time of the day so no need for people to "hold" spots. Lifeguards here as well. Towels - They did seem to run out of dry / fresh towels so we always picked ours up first thing in the morning and didn't return them until there were fresh ones available. Wasn't an issue for us but some in our group had troubles getting new ones. Waterpark - a bit of a walk but they did have a vehicle to shuttle if needed. We loved it! No issues with injuries and they have lots of areas for people of different ages i.e. splash pash, playground, pool, slides. They don't serve any alcohol but beer here so keep that in mind. They have their own buffet for lunch or snacks and we enjoyed it. Wifi - was good and worked consistently throughout the resort and on the beach. Its free! Came in handy for my daughter and I when she went out on her own and we could use the Whatsapp to text each other. Restaurants - overall a good experience! Some were meh and others were great. You can book your reservations on the website once you arrive (need room number) and I didn't have any issues getting reservations. We came with other families and could easily book large groups! No one got sick from the food. Buffet Macao - for whatever reason we liked this buffet better than Soana. Large selection and could always find options. Well stocked and food was replenished. Loved the fresh omlette station! El Bohio - lunch buffet near the pools/beach - this place was awful! The tables were never cleaned / cleared, you could never get silverware or glasses for drinks. Food was not good. The kids loved the self-serve ice cream station though lol! Cinecitta (Italian) - loved it! Good food and service! Definitely recommend this one Ikebana - (Japanese) - loved it! Done on the teppanyaki grill in front of you the show was fun and the food was good. Service was excellent as well. Recommend Route 66 (American) - Another one we loved. I booked this for the kids, and it was likely one of our top meals. Wish we could have gone twice! Recommend La Gira Rodizio (Brazilian) - did not enjoy the food or the service. Would not recommend Coffee shop - a little hidden gem that had excellent desserts, ice cream and beverages. Sports bar - another tucked away spot to go enjoy a drink and hang out in the evenings. Arcade games available for additional cost. Excursions - we booked a catamaran tour from the people by the pool. Negotiated the price and it was a fun 1/2 day trip off the resort.

First time visit but won’t be the last
Wonderful time at the resort, but the staff are certainly a highlight! Our fav was a lovely lady named Julita! Give that girl a raise! 10/10 will visit again 💙 the entertainment line up for was also great. It was nice to always have options for fun things to do no matter the time of day

Don’t Bother
Been to many 5 star resorts and I’m amazed things classified as one. There really into the luxury club members so unless you sign onto the time share crap your treated as such. Food is terrible. Another couple we spoke with said they were starving. Buffet is very small and the food really dry. Most nights we just ate at the food truck. All other restaurants require a reservation even though there half empty most the time and the reservation times they give you are later at night. Probably reserving those times for club members. The sports bar charges for all there games which aren’t cheap. I definitely don’t consider this an all inclusive 5 star as I’ve been to many. 3 1/2 star at best.
