Disappointing NYE celebrations
Stayed for New Year celebrations so disappointed this visit. Our room was not very clean on arrival the noise of the cooler and air con very very noisy affected our sleep the whole three nights. I did complain several times at reception maintenance did visit our room but made very little difference. No other similar rooms available. Not happy on this visit obvious standards also slipped in other areas. I have emailed formal complaint to the hotel no response as of yet. The staff at reception still very polite professional but that’s not what customers pay for …… quality unfortunately lacking 😟😟

Little bit of disappointment
First it started off well the receptionist was lovely and had exceptional customer service. Prior to this I had asked for a rose petal turndown along with balloons which I had paid £30 for. The room itself was £230 with it being new years which turned out not to be quite worth the price. I asked the lady at reception if the amenities were done and she said yes so we proceeded up to our room and I could only see 3 balloons just on the table and a note. I was disappointed already the fact I had paid £15 for 3 coloured balloons and no rose petals to be seen. I had went down to reception and told them the problem and they offered to do the Rose petal turndown later as we were stepping out for some food I also asked for heart shaped balloons which the lady said was £5 extra however because of the inconvenience both the petals and balloons will be complimentary. We came back from the resturant and the rose petals were laid out however was disappointed again as there was just a few rose petals on the bed . The balloons were not heart shaped balloons but were black and gold circular balloons also 3 of them. I had looked at my receipt and seen I had still got charged for the few rose petals which was £15 which I got told was complimentary. Overall I was disappointed with what I had paid for. Both the room and the amenities. I wouldn’t recommend getting amenities from this hotel and if you were to stay I would stay on a normal day we stayed for new year and paid double the price. However the bed was comfy and we had a lovely time.

Luxury in the clouds!
We have stayed at the Hilton many times and for us, it’s still our favourite hotel in Manchester. It still has the cool factor we think and whereas it maybe doesn’t quite have the luxurious feel that the Lowry up the road has, it more than makes up for this in the lovely pool and the executive lounge - and of course those amazing views across Manchester! The booking process was very smooth as always with great help from Mr Mohammed during the reservation process. We managed to secure an early check-in (around 2pm) thanks to the lovely Jerome on reception who I had also been chatting to on the chat function of the app earlier that day. I do think that the standard 4pm is very late for a check-in and it would have definitely affected the relaxation aspect we wanted. We had a lovely scone and cream and some soft drinks in the exec lounge followed by a couple of drinks in town then back for a lovely relaxing swim in the pool which has had a a fab refurb since our last visit. The jacuzzi is so nice as well hot and powerful definitely pack your cossies! The exec lounge which comes with any exec room booking, is a lovely touch. Very stylish and on the same level as Clouds 23 so you get an almost identical experience. What is a brilliant aspect is the complimentary drinks that are served from 5-7pm (this used to be 6-8 in the past) as well as canapés. We visited on a Friday evening and as well as wine, Prosecco and beers you could also order spirits. Amazing value for money and the canapés were absolutely lovely with an Indian theme on the night we visited. The service by the two ladies in the lounge was perfect and you really did feel treated. Breakfast the next morning was as fabulous as always and had everything you could possibly want. There was really nothing that could have been improved upon apart from maybe the fog that ruined the view but I will let them off for that lol. Thanks to all the Hilton Team for a perfect stay!

Great Executive Lounge experience
We recently stayed at the Hilton in Deansgate Manchester and had great service in the executive lounge. I was celebrating my 50th birthday and Luana & Marta helped make it that little more special by bringing out a surprise birthday sweet treat.

Great stay
Location is good. Check in was very smooth and great! As gold members we got lounge access and late check out. Room is nice and spacious. Shower could need an upgrade-squeeking floor and poor water pressure but apart from that bathroom was nice. Comfy bed. Lounge was not the best selection of drinks and food but view is good! At cloud 23 the service was wonderful. Didn’t get their names but two guys working around noon on the 21st were super friendly. Breakfast is great. Nice selection, clean and refilled. Love the chocolate croissant. Absolutely hate the cappuccino. Please do better :-) One more thing- elevators. With only two elevators running (and slooow) it takes forever to go anywhere. Be patient and plan with extra time. That’s one area of improvement. Apart from that we love it here. This hotel delivers every time. Will definitely come back.
