The resorts saving grace was a hand full of staff. Norma at the hotel restaurant would be our reason to visit again! The bartender at the sky bar was always great! Very hospitable staff for most. Housekeeping was not consistent in cleaning the same but friendly. Owners could definitely do some updating to draw people in and stand out. Lots of broken and old fixtures. Floral gal did a great job at arranging and removed pollen from flowers. Of course I noticed because I love tiger lilies but am very allergic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hilton Vallarta! This was our first time to Puerot Vallarta and we loved it. What sets this resort apart from other all inclusive resorts is the staff. In almost every area, there was at least one staff member who stood out for outstanding customer service. Ricardo and Juan at the buffet, Sebastian and Sergio at the Italian restaurant, Karen at the Asian restaurant, Gabriel at the Spa, Mel at the Pool, Caesar at the Mojito lounge, Oscar at the lunch fish restaurant, Wiyo and Bibi at the gym and the housekeeping staff all stood out for their amazing attitudes and level of service. They should be recognized and rewarded for their focus on keeping guests happy!! Our favorite restaurant by far was the Asian. We went twice. The food options during the day by the pool were healthy and amazingly good. The servers at the pool (Mel!) were speedy with drinks . There were many activities for all ages during the day and night. There were also many bars and spaces for all ages. There was some drama at the pool about kids being in the adult pool. The reason they were in the adult pool was that the adult pool was quite a bit warmer. Maybe the temps could be equalized to avoid this issue. We had two rooms and one was just lovely (324) with a pool and ocean view. Our other room (304) had a partially blocked view and smelled mildewed/moldy at the entrance no matter what we did. It was not a great first impression and not fun to walk into every day. The beds were comfy and clean. The rooms seemed relatively newly renovated. Housekeeping did an excellent job of keeping up with any mess. We also did not have a great first impression at the front desk when checking in. We checked in around 4pm and were told we would not be able to get into the restourants as the line for reservations happened the day before. We ate at the buffet which was fine. Once we figured out the system to get dinner reservations, we got up early to get in line. There is an onlne system, but it was not working and the person making reservations did not recommend using it. The line system is a pain on vacation. There has to be a better way!! On our third day, we got a notice from our credit card company that $10,000 was charged on our card by the resort at check in. Someone forgot to change the payment from dollars to pesos (which would have been $500). Needless to say, we were very concerned and got up early to take care of the issue. Turns our, it had been discovered two days prior a couple hours after we checked in, but no one from the hotel had called us. They let us find out in a really unnecessary way especially on vacation. Then we were told this was just a "training issue". That may be true, but why was no call made to tell us that $10,000 would be on our card until the correction could be made. Other than help with a dinner reservation, nothing was done to make this situation right. It really left a bad impression on an overall wonderful week. Other than the front desk and first impression, this was a wonderful stay!

Pleasantly surprised!! A great place to stay!!
Outstanding service in Sea Salt Restaurant every afternoon from the team of Fidel, Ana, and Daniel. Food was excellent and service was prompt and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful with outstanding ocean front views from every room. Especially liked the “food trucks” which put a fun perspective on afternoon snacks. Would heartily recommend this resort.

Mojito in paradise
Sky Bar and Felipe best ever. Whale watching some in the ocean lol jk. Great experience, perfect time of year. Felipe’s first day but he was like a pro. Perfect mojitos great music will definitely return annually. Bucket list vacation do over

Great all-inclusive experience
Beautiful hotel with amazing food and great service. Exercise classes overlooking the ocean from Bibi and Wiyonal were excellent. The kids club was fantastic - Fatima and her team were always well organized, warm and flexible with our kids.
