Apr 23, 2025Noise dampened our stay
Family of 5, 3 generations, and all 5 of us loved this hotel, with exception of the noise! Our room was in level 2, above the delivery area, so the bins were emptied at 5am Every day, and then the deliveries started! The insulation between floor was very poor too, as we could hear every movement made by the occupants above us! The 2nd room had noise issues, as was at street level, with the same issues with upstairs. If it was not for the noise, which just needs a little investment, we would mark this a 5!, but the hotel was full, so no possibility of moving. All the staff were brilliant, the room was perfect and spotlessly clean, the breakfast buffet was 100%, as was the location! Was too cold to use the pool, so can only say it looked good!

Everyone was great! Housekeeping person was so nice and friendly! Very clean and checking in and out was efficient and quick. Breakfast very good!

stay before cruise
Enjoyed staying here with well lit and safe place. We liked being close to the fishermans area.Enjoyed a good breakfast. Only draw back was there were 4 rooms reserved and 3 on 1 floor in and other in main part of hotel. Because of lots of bags for cruise had to use 2 elevators to get bags to Uber.

Stay at SF Riu
This was a great stay. The food was amazing, great location, and welcoming staff. Will definitely be back!

Definitely would return!
Overall a really nice experience, check in was quick, we took our bags to the room ourselves which was a bit of a struggle, the carpet made it harder to pull them along. We stayed on the top floor, the windows don’t open so it was quite stuffy but there is an AC unit in the room. You can see directly into the room opposite so I would keep the shade closed. The beds were wonderful! The bathroom was small but did the job, the bath was not comfortable at all, I just wanted to relax after a day of walking but it was was not possible in that tub. There is a coffee maker, with paper cups. Breakfast was great! We stayed at the riu in Times Square after here and this riu had the better breakfast for sure! We had breakfast early every morning and it was already quite busy when it opened so I can imagine there would be a queue if you come down later. We used the pool, it wasn’t freezing but because of the wind on the day, we didn’t stay in the water very long. Great location for tourists, just around the corner from fisherman’s wharf, the tour bus stop and a great 7/11.
