Apr 23, 2025Perfect for a visit to Birmingham Arena
Excellent stay here for one night, whilst attending Birmingham Arena. Very quiet room on 11th Floor. I loved the English Breakfast. All the Hyatt Colleagues in the Breakfast area are so kind and helpful. Front desk Managers are also excellent. This hotel is perfect for a single Lady Traveller.

Since our last company meeting there 4 years ago, the place has dropped off the scale in so many areas. It looks shabby and uncared for from the minute you walk into the lobby. Just look up, walls peeling, stained with long term ongoing leaks that haven’t been sorted. The rooms on the 13th floor are so far beyond needing a refurb it's embarrassing. And the smell on that floor!! I can only describe it as rotting fish. I didn’t meet anyone from that floor not talking about it. Then we move onto the range of food available in the day, the pricing of it and the quality when it turned up. how hard is it for a Hyatt sheff to get chicken wings right? they had been under a hot lamp so long that they had shrivelled up and were barely edible. And the pricing, wow! I don’t mind paying for quality, but my god…. I could go on, but this will be my last visit to Hyatt Birmingham.

Exceptional
The entire experience was a pleasure from the reservation to checkout. The facilities exceeded expectations, the staff professional, engaged and friendly. The overall experience is one that people travelling will recall fondly and one I will recommend without doubt.

Amazing hotel
This must have been the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. The staff couldn't do enough for us they was so beautiful in every way, they couldn't do enough. I have never been to a hotel which is so clean wow! Also the hotel itself was so amazing check in was perfect so smooth and breakfast so much to choose from we will be staying again and I would highly recommend this hotel anyone staying in Birmingham thank you again Hyatt we will see u soon.

Staff and food were excellent. The hotel itself is looking tired and must be due a refurb at some point soon. The spa also needs a complete refurb, showers not working and pool area felt grubby compared to other hotels. Also avoid the canal side of the hotel on Friday or Saturday if you want to sleep before 2.00am.
