A perfect long weekend away ☀️
We chose this hotel as we went for a long weekend and wanted to be fairly close to Palma but beachfront. Great location in Can Pastilla. We got a taxi from the airport to the hotel which cost €17 and took about 10 mins. We had already chose our room ahead on the iberostar app and had booked a premium terrace pool view room 113 and it was perfect. The private sun loungers were the best and would choose the room type again. We went half board as good value for money for the evening buffet and again glad we did. Just charged our drinks to our room each night. Breakfast and dinner buffet both lovely and lots of choice. We visited Palma and the bus stop just outside the hotel (Number 25 🚎) took you to the cathedral for €2. Lots of building work going on in Palma and they were preparing for a boat show so a lot closed off but still could walk it. Had lunch in Hard Rock Cafe and watched the world go by. Outside the hotel the beach is closed off for maintenance but just a short walk and open again. Walked all along the beachfront and lovely and flat lined with bars and restaurants. We got the bus back to the airport (Number 2a) for €5 from the bus stop just outside the hotel. Weather fantastic but definitely needed a hoody for the evenings as chilly!

Perfect
Brilliant hotel, adults only with lots to do in the area. Staff were excellent and accommodating in every area. View from the room were superb and the environment was clean and inviting. Food was great we went on a HB basis. Lots of bars and restaurants locally if needed. Palma is a bus ride away, around 20 min only a few euro. Lots of place to hire bikes and a stones throw from The beach. Short distance from Palma airport.

Great experience
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff. It was my bday and I am vegan. The hotel didn’t have a vegan cake so they went out of their way to organise one. Also they answered all our questions so patiently and so well. All the Staff was excellent - Fabrioza. thais and Chrysoula. Chrysoula took sooo much care of everything we needed and everything relayed to the birthday cake and celebration. The attention to detail was great. I have stayed at other IHG hotels before but this particular one had excellent customer service really thank you to the 3 people mentioned above. I Hope the hotel is able to give all of them, especially Chrysoula some special recognition. They really deserve it.

Good hotel in a lovely area
There are LOTS of positives: Beautiful and clean hotel, close to the airport and the beach. Food is great, there is a wide variety for both breakfast and dinner. Every day for dinner there is a different theme with dishes from a specific country (Spanish, Italian, Mexican, Japanese etc) plus some regular dishes and salads, plenty of desserts and fruit. Restaurant staff were super. A la carte restaurant and cocktail bar Origin is great. Staff working at the pool were brilliant. Cocktails at the pool bar are really good. Rooms were nice and really clean. On each floor there is a water & ice dispenser. The hotel is in a lovely area with plenty of shops and some really good places to eat/drink like Al Faro and Bikini Beach. However, there were also some negatives: 1. Reception/Chrysoula We are a family of 4 and we booked 2 rooms. Before our arrival, we already completed the online checkin and indicated who was going to sleep in which room, and provided all our passport details. However, when we arrived, we had to do everything from the beginning. What was the point of offering an online checkin if we had to do it all over again? Anyway, while a very pleasant receptionist was checking us in, another receptionist Chrysoula kept interfering. First she made an inappropriate question/remark in Spanish to her colleague why we were not speaking Dutch (some family members have Dutch passports but we are a family of mixed nationalities), which I understood but did not react. The colleague asked us if we wanted to speak Dutch or English, we chose English. Then we were asked who was going to be in which room, and while giving our preference (this should have been in the system already after my online check in) Chrysoula decided to interfere AGAIN, giving her opinion how we should be split in our two rooms and who should sleep with whom. I did not react or correct her at the time but I feel it is important for her to learn not to be intrusive. Chrysoula does not know every family situation, nobody asked her opinion, she was not the one checking us in, yet she kept interfering in an inappropriate way. This was unprofessional and totally unnecessary, and it totally ruined the experience for me. 2. Shower The shower in both rooms was leaking. In one room it was leaking front AND back so the water went everywhere, also under the bed. I informed the Reception and showed them photos. We were told 2 times that they would send someone to check/repair this but that actually never happened, so we were using towels to dry the floor every day. This was inconvenient, but not as upsetting as the unpleasant experience with Crysoula. All in all, we had a pleasant stay.

Jewel in the palm of Palma!
This hotel is stunning! The customer service is like nothing I have ever experienced before. The staff are pleasant, consistently, and go out of their way to help. The breakfast staff are so friendly especially the lady with the auburn short hair. A smile and a wink every morning. Luna on reception desk helped me with several queries! If you’re considering a trip to Palma this hotel is easily accessible to the city, and has a lovely ambience. It’s also spotlessly clean. The half board, which we had, was unbelievable good value. Fresh fish salads meats all prepared and something to suit everyone. The ginger and white chocolate cake for dessert will leave you wanting more. Excellent food in this hotel . To conclude, we are Definitely coming back. Five stars here and more from us.
