    Amazing experience!

Oscar from the entertainment staff was amazing! Great personality and super friendly! 10 out of 10! Second time going to this resort and did not disappoint once again! So happy we chose this resort for our wedding, all wedding staff were super helpful and made us feel calm during our special day! The stone gazebo was beautiful!

    Beautiful grounds and excellent service

Just came back from weeklong holidays. The resort itself has beautiful grounds, lots of wildlife and the nicest beach I ever seen in Mayan Riviera. It is very well maintained and extremely clean. Overall the staff were very attentive , fast, and friendly. We stayed in block 34 (right in the middle of the resort) and our housekeeper, Baby, constantly made sure we have everything we need and kept our room spotless. I would also like to mention Valeria, who works night shift at the reception for her kindness, help and taking such a good care of us . Although the resort has a little less than 500 rooms, it feels huge and involves a lot of walking. It has a golf carts, which can take you around, however, if you like to be in close proximity to everything, it might not be for you. There are couple of things which need improvement: 1. A’la carte restaurants: only Japanese and Brazilian require reservation, the rest of them is based on first come and first serve basis. We waited at french restaurant for an hour and a half to be told that they will not have a table for us and we can try to come back another day - very tiring and disappointing. It seems that you can only be lucky if you lineup 15 minutes before the restaurant opens to make sure you get a table without waiting. It is very annoying and perhaps should be changed to full reservation system? 2. The beach: there is not enough loungers on the beach and it is very crowded. We are beach people and for the first two days, when we made our way to the beach after breakfast, it was impossible to find any chairs. After that experience, we would take turns to visit the beach at 7 am to reserve the chairs, however, even at that time majority of them was already reserved . It was very frustrating and somehow needs to be improved. 3. The resort doesn’t have a sport’s bar and/or any food and alcohol concessions open after 1 am. Our flight was delayed over 8 hrs, and when we arrived at the resort, it was around 4 am , hungry and tired, and everything was closed. We found that strange and disappointing -we visited many resorts in Mexico in the past and it was our first one which didn’t offer 24 hrs service. The food was ok, a bit repetitive . The Star Rock Cafe was closed every day, not sure for what reason. The mall beside resort is a nice addition : they have a coffee shop, crepes and ice cream shop, taco stand, burger pit and a disco bar which are part of all inclusive stay. Great way to spend a day and do something different. Other than that all was good and we enjoyed our stay.

    Average resort

There are definitely pros and cons to this resort. My wife & I were expecting more but this resort is good but could be better. We agree with most of the reviews that there are too many times where there is a wait time for restaurants. Also, all of the restaurants are open on specific days. I'm guessing they are trying to save money. So we had to return it. In the long run if you have more to choose from you will have less customers complaining. Food wasn't bad but there were times it wasn't hot. Some of the restaurants are not air conditioned or have nonworking air conditioners. For my wife & I that's a big deal especially in the summer in Mexico smh. This is a big deal especially if you are trying to sell your resort. The employees at the resort are very nice and helpful. The spa is wonderful. Finding chairs at the pool is a joke. I did have to move a few towels on chairs that were "reserved" for more than an hour. The beach is nice. Entertainment needs serious upgrading. Not having anything to do after 11 pm is a big turnoff. The night club was okay but needs to be open later and every night. It is supposed to be a vacation resort. We didn't catch any shows so I can't comment on it. I would say that they need more family shows.
