Jan 17, 2025We Expected more from a Big-Name Resort
A very disappointing experience from a big name ALL INCLUSIVE MEXICO RESORT. Maybe our budget didn't allow for the more luxurious room category, but our money is just as good as anyone else's. Upon arrival we were not greeted with a warm typical "Mexican" welcome only the need to ask us to upgrade with additional cost. I explained we had to book an extra room to accommodate our family of 5 adults to please put us in the same building because it's a family vacation but were told to do this it would cost 150.00 MORE!!! What? after already paying 1000's. Our room was very dark outdated with overgrown trees and dirt up to the balcony with no sun at all the main reason we choose a vacation to get away from Northern winters. My daughter's room was facing the road. :((( even more disappointing. Resort was totally overbooked and understaffed, waiting in line to get into breakfast and no server to even bring coffee to our table. We were told that reservations for dinner were not needed except for Japanese and Brazilian. Restaurants were just randomly closed for their convenience, and we saved the French Restaurant for our last big night only to discover it was closed??? We tried to go to the Italian but were told if we didn't have a reservation, we couldn't get in, so we ended up in the not so nice buffet all dressed up with no waiter, empty choices of subpar food and limited options after a long day it would have been so nice to just feel pampered and waited on as past resorts live up to customer satisfaction. No wait staff at the pool to bring you drinks either. (At least at our pool) We are not difficult people to please but when you save and plan to take your family on a very special possibly once in a lifetime vacation you just deserve better. With so many other resorts to choose.... we will look elsewhere for future vacations. Iberostar has lost our trust. The STARS of the show were most definitely Alajandro C. (pool swim up bartender by rooms 2012/2011) and Christian and his entertainment team. THEY NEED RECONIZED They were genuine, caring and fun. Without them it would have been no fun so thank you for being good humans.

Amazing and stunning resort! The food, the wildlife, the beach, this resort has it all! Our concierge JAY from the club was amazing! So helpful in getting us reservations and showing us around! Super friendly! The staff here is great always smiling and friendly. My favourite restaurant so far is the Japanese and Mexican! The tacos at the beach wowsa so yummy! You have to get to the beach early if you want to get a spot it fills up fast!

A disfrutar
The pool party was absolutely incredible! I had such a fantastic time splashing around with everyone. The atmosphere was electric, and the whole experience was so much fun. I'm already looking forward to the next pool party, but I'm also incredibly excited to experience the foam party organized by the entertainment team. I've heard amazing things about their past events – they always come up with the most creative and engaging activities. I can only imagine how much fun the foam party will be. I'm sure it will be a wild and unforgettable experience. I'm particularly excited about the energy that the entertainment team brings to their events. They always know how to get the crowd pumped up and create a truly memorable atmosphere.

First time was the best time
This is my first time at an Iberostar and it blew me away. The resort is vast with a lot of natural bush and trees. It really feels like you’re staying in the trees. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating. They are also not pressuring at all, if you want a drink or not, they completely respect that, which is very cool. Hector specifically got me on stage for a competition and it turned out to be so much fun. When you get to this resort, I highly encourage you to take part in all the activities!

Amazing Entertainment Team!
Hector on the entertainment was the absolute blast, he truly made such an effort to help us around the resort and include us in all the events. Such an amazing and hard worker, he is a star in the making! If you visit, made sure to find Hector to make your trip all more memorable!
