Very nice, good service, clean and fresh

Everything to our satisfaction. Nice room, very well cleaned, fresh rooms. Good service, nice details. Hotel has everything you need, convenience store, ice cream shop, cafe, restaurant, 2 pools. Free show on Fridays with Hawaian music and dance performance. Will definitely come here again.

Disappointing for the cost of the room

Bad: No beach towels available multiple days. Ice cube tray was cracked , creating a mess on the floor and in the freezer when trying to fill it. Coffee pods/ maker aren’t sized right. Wild goose chase for one of us created by the staff trying to get a Beach towel due to lack of employee training on policy/ procedures. We noticed other couples had the same issue, being told 2 different places to get beach towels. Safe in room didn’t work. Furniture was uncomfortable, especially the couch. The couch also smelled funny. The Kitchen was non-functioning with utensils. For example, there were no measuring spoons. Excellent: Housekeeping staff was wonderful. They were an awesome bright spot in a way overpriced room for the amenities and service.

    A Fabulous Hotel/Condo!

We contacted our travel Agent who works for Fora. We wanted a VRBO within walking distance to Ala Moana Park where we planned to do The 2024 Honolulu Marathon. We were booked into the Iikai Hotel/Condo from November 30th to December 9th. These accommodations were fantastic. It was immaculate. I had wanted a full kitchen so we could have leisurely breakfasts n the morning. Everything we needed was provided. We were delighted that beach mats, beach blankets, beach towels and beach umbrella were available for our use. We chose not to rent a car. We were within walking distances to four large beaches, parks and a big mall. We booked several excursions (Pear Harbor, Kayaking/snorkling, Diamond Head Hike and Paradise Cove Luau) and were either picked up near the Condo or we were able to Uber around easily. The resort itself is beautiful. Since it was close to Christmas, the decorations were truly lovely. We were able to watch beautiful Hawaiian sunsets right out by a huge sitting area. The resort itself had stores, ice cream parlors, bars and restaurants. On the morning of the Honolulu Marathon we left around 4:15 am and just walked to the beginning of the race. Yes, Honolulu is a very busy city but it's beautiful. We found small and big restaurants that served wonderful food. We found a beach restaurant near Kaliopani Park, Barefoot Beach Cafe, that served the most delicious hamburgers. Went there twice. If we return to Honolulu, The Ilikai at 1777 Ala Moana Blvd, would be our go to place.

The good, the bad the ugly.

The good, the bad and the ugly. We booked 6 nights in Ilikai 1231 The good: THE HOTEL The hotel is great. Location couldn’t have been better with every amenity you can think of. Loved the little library for book borrowing, such a thoughtful idea. Friday night fireworks are a stone throw away. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The bad: The pool always ran out of towels. The ugly: THE ROOM Uncomfortable pillows, I did ask and received the exact same pillows and got told the hotel doesn’t supply soft pillows. The oven door cant open fully due to the fridge. You’ll certainly struggle to use it if you wanted to cook in the oven. Also make sense as to why theres no actual baking trays or casserole dishes for the oven… The curtains/drapes are horrible! They aren’t black out and we aren’t the first ones to complain about it. You’ll have the sun waking you up bright and early. They are white and sheer. NOT suitable or ideal for the room location. The cables at the TV could be better covered up. It’s messy and a hazard for young kids (which we have). I did bring this to the attention of the rental agent but they couldn’t be bothered to follow up. To date we haven’t received any updates or even courtesy email asking us about our stay. The hotel is NOT connected to this booking - they are completely separate. We booked through a rental agent.
