Another Great Family Vacation at an Iberostar JOIA Resort
Our family visited the Iberostar Joia Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica in November 2024. This was our first visit to this resort (after previous visits to Joia Paraiso and Joia Bavaro) and found the resort to be beautiful with wonderful people working at the resort. We would like to thank various people that made our vacation very enjoyable: • Cedric was our Ambassador and he was simply amazing! Even though there are still issues with Members making dinner reservations, he made sure we had dinner reservations for 6 every night and even on a day he had off, he made sure someone else took care of us. Not only did he make sure we had dinner reservations, he made sure we always had whatever we needed in our rooms. If we visit the resort again, we will request to have Cedric as our Ambassador because he really made the trip wonderful for all of us. • Sean was our Bellhop that first greeted us when we arrived at the resort. He guided us to the Prestige Lounge to check in and made sure our luggage arrived safely to our rooms. He also took care of us when we departed – he arranged our transportation back to the airport and took care of our luggage so we could enjoy our last morning at the resort. • Star Prestige Lounge – Everyone at the Star Prestige Lounge was so friendly and ensured we had everything we needed. The following people were wonderful and a pleasure to interact with – Genel handled all pre-coordination before we arrived to ensure we had what we wanted in each of our 3 rooms; Deidrian checked us in when we arrived; Dontae was a great Prestige Lounge bartender that made tasty cocktails any time we stopped by. • Butlers – In addition to Cedric as our Ambassador, we had great butlers throughout the week that took great care of us – Rennardo, Devon, Valentine, and Omar. • Prestige Beach Area – The Prestige Beach Area was beautiful, and the staff there always set our chairs and day beds up and introduced us to new, tasty cocktails throughout the week. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Donavan, Merrick, Renee, Moesha and Brittani throughout our stay and treasure the picture we all got with them on the beach. • Restaurants & Bars – The following people took care of us at the various restaurants and bars throughout the resort – Alexia (Lobby Waitress), Omar (Breakfast Buffet), Kenroiy (Surf & Turf), Chevoy (Italian), Tomar (Breakfast Buffet), and Nicholas (Lunch Buffet). • Massages – The family enjoyed massages from the following massage therapists – Nickeisha, Martin, Clarice, Shenique, and Roxanne. The only disappointing part of the trip was our last dinner. There was a wedding at the resort our last weekend there and as a result, several restaurants weren’t open to all guests. Our only option the last night was the Italian restaurant, which we enjoyed earlier in the week, but they were out of 3 dishes – all of which someone in our party was planning to order, so people had to settle for other options and in some cases, there weren’t dietary options for everyone. Otherwise, this was another wonderful family vacation at an Iberostar Resort. We look forward to many more vacations using our Black membership and the perks it offers while enjoying such friendly people that make our vacations so relaxing and memorable!

Part 2 of Welcome to what might be a number 2 show
After a bad first day experience for Consandra and I, the next 10 days were wonderful. Nadika the assistant Guest Service Manager sought us out and listened to our concerns. She was great and helped change our minds about the resort. The Butlers were great - we had Devon, Omar and Rennardo, they helped make our stay very enjoyable. The Entertainment Team go out of their way to engage guests in activities, led by their manager Davey. There are daily activities by the pool and beach. For the two of us, with one exception, all of the food venues served quality food, you feel like you are in a restaurant, nicely decorated rooms, white table cloths. If you love lobster, this is the place to be. Lobster is available for Lunch and Dinner at each of the different food venues without an uncharge like you find at other All-Inclusive resorts. After Dinner, the Entertainment at night was excellent! The rooms are quiet, well kept and the beds are very comfortable. They take great care of the property, working on upkeep on a daily basis. Every Staff member greets you with a smile not only to the guests but to each other. Now for some negatives: - Coming out of Covid it seems odd that a resort would put unsealed bottles of water in the room, not very sanitary. A simple solution which we have seen other resorts is to supply the guests with sealed (empty) metal water bottles that can be filled from refill stations on each floor. - We have stayed at several All Inclusive resorts and there has always been a selection of Liquor in the room, here there are no bottles of liquor in the room. We were told by several guests that they did do this in the past, but discontinued this service. - Smoking should not be allowed around the pool or in the area of the lounge chairs on the beach, designated smoking areas away from the public area need to be provided - A feet into the water the seabed is covered with seaweed, which can harbor jelly fish. It would be great if they would clean the seafood from the seabed in the beach area. Again we were told by other gusts that this was done in the past, but has been discontinued. - Finally a small pet peeve for mine is only having a rainfall shower head in the shower. There also needs to be a hand held wand. All this said, we enjoyed our visit so much we have already booked a return visit in October.

Amazing experience
When I first arrived, I didn’t know what to expect but I was introduced to Christopher the Butler, who was so amazing. I ended up buying membership in the club because of him. They say first impression is the most important and believe me his first impression on me was amazing Gary Butler Rohan Butler were also very amazing attentive to your needs. I am definitely a part of the IB star family now and forever Omar from the club and young ladies are definitely the best. The food was amazing entertainment was amazing. Definitely five star. I have no complaint. I feel as if I had known everyone all my life definitely will be seeing me often.
