Nice resort but lack of transportation within the resort
This is a nice hotel but it's a large one. Compare to other hotel within the area, there is a lack of transportation throughout the resort as it's a 10 min walk between the Lobby and the Pool/Beach. There are train that can bring you from on to another but there are not enough to be efficient so prepare to walk. If you have mobility issues, this is not the right resort for you. Beach and Pool are very nice but for sure there are weeds on the Beach and in the water even if it's picked up in the morning. You can have a good time there but chairs are issues as there seems to not have enough (need to wake up really early to get a good spot. Food was ok at the buffet on the beach (hot dog and burgers) and there is also a buffet at the beach (limited offer). Bar and drink are good and except for the bartender at lobby where they don't serve you fast unless you show $$$. Other bar provided good service even if you were not showing $. One bartender provided excellent service near the game room and it's Joaquim (after 3:00). I was taking care of our children by making really good drinks (virgin). Kids spent most of their time there after dinner there. I recommend passing by and asking for is special drinks. You will love it. Room were ok, beds were comfy and it was clean. The waterpark (suited for up to 12 years old) is small but nice and even teens enjoyed it. Entertainment was limited but shows at night were ok (not the main reason to go anyway). Last time we were in Punta Cana, staff were friendly and most were saying Holla. This time around, it was hard to get some smile from staff walking on the resorts. But the one in charge of service (buffet, bar, etc) were friendly and provided good service. Overall it's a nice resort that would meet most people needs for an all inclusive (4 to 4.5 stars) but it need some improvement such as enough chairs around the Pool and Beach, A la carte resto could be better (specially the steak house), and more frequent transportation throughout the resorts.

Great Hotel with a issue
I just returned (family of 5) and I have to say it's an excellent hotel with good service. I confirm the opinions already expressed, but I would like to point out the following: To have a sunbed on the beach you need to reserve with a towel by 6:00/6:30 AM, and some of them remain empty all day without a person. We spent 4/6 days enjoying the sand.... I requested help from Guest Service but got no response!! Very bad, Juan!! Not good, Meliã!!. I might come back but maybe I'll bring my own sunbed...". Overall is excelent.

food was not great and noise level was too much
The so called special restaurants were a joke! Very limited choice of menu and service was sub par!! In general at night time, it can be very noisy as late as midnight!!

The Level at Melia Caribe beach Resort
We loved our stay and really enjoyed the Level upgrade. The food was great. The buffet had a great selection and we were just as happy to eat there as we were the a la cartes. Francisco Ubiera made awesome omelets every day at Riviera. The staff were super friendly. Our room was kept really clean (thank you Dorabel Villa our house keeper in building 47) and so were all the public areas and bathrooms. Our concierge, Alam Molina, was awesome! Always just a text away for anything we needed and always seen around the pool and beach area checking in to make sure everything was good. Thanks again Alam! It’s a great family resort. The kids loved the Kidsdom water park and they had lots of activities scheduled every day. We would love to return.

Great experience! Would recommend to my friends and family to visit this resort.
The rooms were fabulous. Spacious, clean and very comfortable. Our concierge Alum went above and beyond. Due to health issues I was unable to do stairs and, they were able to change my room to the main floor without any problem. He checked it everyday to make sure all was going well or if there was anything he could do for us. He did an amazing job and caring for our group.
