Amazing experience at a great resort.
This resort was great. Our entire family enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good. The resort was super clean and the service was beyond expectation. Our concierge, Jenfry De jesus aka (MJ) did an amazing job. He was very helpful and made sure we were looked after everyday. MJ made our week that more enjoyable.

My time a Meliá
Really enjoyed the friendly staff. They made us feel like family. I’m actually going to miss some of them. The grounds management was beautiful and there was always something to do if you’re looking to keep busy. Also really enjoyed the room service experience cause at times I preferred to eat in my room. The cleaning staff were great a very accommodating. Overall I probably would come back.

Nice resort for premium stay in Punta Cana
We stayed at Meliá Punta Cana Beach Wellness Inclusive - Adults only between 30 December and 9th January. Overall the stay was pleasant but there are several areas that need improvement to match the proclaimed status of the hotel. 1. Checkin : checkin was slow. We didn’t arrive as part of a tour or group and still, it took 20 minutes to checkin. Overall a lack of organization at the desk with many people running around in disorganized way. 2. The room : rooms are divided in 3 categories : - deluxe which are the furthest from the beach, at the entrance of the resort. You will need to walk 500 meters or take the internal shuttle to reach the beach / breakfast restaurant (Serendipia) - Premium : these are much closer to the beach but further from reception where is the dinner buffets and « a la carte » restaurants - Level : which are close to the beach and with private beach area. Our premium room was nice but we can see that furniture is a bit dated - for example the drawers of the wardrobe didn’t close fully. Our safe was initially not working but as soon as we signaled it, they fixed it. We had 3 days without hot water, which we signaled and got fixed in the evening. 3. food and restaurant : Breakfast buffet located next to the beach is nice and offers a lot of variety, including stations for eggs and toasts made on request. Lots of options including pastries, pancakes and waffles. Lunch buffet : is located at the same location as breakfast. You can have meat and fish cooked for you on top of all the already made selection of dishes. Drinks will be brought at your table by your waiter. We had several meals where we had finished eating before our drinks came… « Mosaico » Dinner buffet : located near the reception, offers a lot of variety with daily meat and fish selection (salmon steak, roasted chicken, ribs…). Overall the buffet food is great and they have a theme each evening. « A la carte » restaurants : First you need to book them, they usually open the bookings 2-3 days prior. Despite Melia having an application you can NOT book through the app, you need to go to the desk and speak with the agent. - « Mar de Sal » Mediterranean restaurant : our favorite, with beef cheeks, raviolis, pizza. - Barefoot, the beach restaurant - nicely located on the beach side. Good choice of meat and fish dishes - « Muoi » Vietnamese - our least favorite Overall restaurants are nice, desserts could be improved as you will recognize buffet desserts presented differently. Activities : several activities are organized every day. Their organization is more or less OK but sometimes they are undersized and as you cannot register in advance, you might be left out. For example, i tried to attend the bike tour twice but there was never enough bikes… Some skincare workshops are organized by the spa, where they gently try to upsell you procedures. Beach and pool : they start the towel service at 7 AM.By 8 AM almost all the pool seats were taken, by 10 AM it will get hard to find a seat at the beach. Spa : we didn’t experience it - the price of procedure is higher than in Switzerland ! Overall resort remarks : When you are in the resort, you are « stuck ». We ordered Uber to go outside but they will not let the driver come till the reception : you will need to go till the gate of the resort. It’s probably 500 meters but in our case it was raining heavily and we asked for the shuttle which we needed to wait for 20 minutes, during which our driver was waiting at the gate. Same will happen when you will want to checkout : we asked the day before to get help to move our luggage from our room till reception through shuttle. We booked it for 9.30AM the day before . After 3 calls to reception, at 10AM we took the « standard shuttle »… To go back to the airport, same scenario : they will NOT let your Uber driver come in, so you are forced to use their taxi, which is approx. 15$ more expensive than Uber and will not give you a receipt.

Beach Bar staff where excellent
The Melia has fantastic landscaped gardens but it is the staff at the pool bar that have motivated me to write a review. Radalis Baez and his team where very professional, funny and entertaining all day long. They made the pool bar area our favourite place to spend a few hours each afternoon

Paradise
Second time here and this was even better. Booked a Level Wellnes Suite and didn't expect a 30 minute massage for 2 everyday included in the cost which was a lovely suprise. Everyhing about this hotel and grounds is amazing, there is nothing I can fault. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough to help and our butler/concierge Jedfry was outstanding. Restaurants were of good quality and you get a choice of 2 Buffet and 4 a la carte. Would definately recommend this hotel.
