    Great Resort for the Value

It is not the Ritz but it is a relaxing, peaceful place to stay. Yes, it is not updated to the nines but who cares, the rooms are comfortable, the price is reasonable, the beds are comfortable. So much wildlife to watch and enjoy. Great X parks minutes away. Pools are so nice, food is good, the buffets could use some improvement, the Taco place and Mexican restaurant are AMAZING!! We opted for a special dinner on the beach ($$) and it was amazing. The only downside was the resort activities schedule wasn't up to date, used the QR kept giving me the wrong week and when I finally obtained the correct week we went to where things should be happening but was then told they were not and staff were confused on why we thought they were. Please do a hardcopy or something and ensure the information is correct and clearly say where they are. Also from our experience and others that we saw the map of where things are at the resort is not useful. We spent lots of time the first 48 hours trying to find things and many staff we asked were not helpful. By day 3 we had it down but we watched other new guests have the same issue.

    Best resort !!

Best resort I ever go ! The beach is private , the food is really good , the service is wonderful. Really nothing to say , it was perfect compare to Bahia principe Gran Coba. Not to far from activities , beach or Excursions. Next to Parc X Caret , really recommend !

    Best Deep Tissue Massage Ever!

This was the best deep tissue massage I’ve ever gotten! So relaxing and enjoyable! I would totally recommend that every guest book an experience at this spa while visiting the resort! Ask for Lupita!! She is amazing!! I promise if you book a spa experience you’ll want to book another before you leave!!!

    Decent, but got food poisoning.

Booked via Expedia. Let me start by saying the property is stunning, jungle setting with animals everywhere. It’s a nature-lover’s dream. Monkeys came to our balcony almost daily to hang out. Lots of other animals throughout the property. Easy access to Xcaret Park is a major plus. Beach and pools are nice, definitely a plus for the property. On our third night here, after dinner at the Mexican restaurant, I came down with what I suspect is food poisoning or potentially Norovirus. At about 11:30PM I started getting sick and spent the entire night sick until late into the next morning. After multiple calls to the front desk, no medications could be brought to me because the pharmacy on site was closed, as if they couldn’t open it in case of an emergency. At 7AM the following morning my husband went to the pharmacy and was able to purchase digestive medicines such as Pepto Bismol. I was in bed for the rest of the day after that, very weak and still sick on and off until late morning. The Expedia building concierge was able to arrange toast, bananas, tea, and chicken soup to be delivered to our room since I couldn’t leave. The next day I felt much better but some of the symptoms returned after eating the most mild meals I could find at the buffet and snack bar at which point I stopped eating the food there altogether. If it wasn’t for this food poisoning or whatever this was, I would have given 4 stars, not 5, because I felt the bedding and rooms could be improved (see photo of thread coming out of the blanket which kept getting caught on my arm at night as I moved in sleep). The rooms otherwise were ok but I disliked that only one wastebasket had an actual plastic bag in it for garbage. Very important when vomiting. Drinks were SUUUPER sweet, but to be fair I stopped drinking after my stomach upset so I didn’t try too many different ones. Overall, assuming that the food issue I had was a one-off and is a very rare occurrence at this property, I would say this is a very decent and interesting stay for the money. If the food poisoning I had gotten hadn’t happened, I would have stayed here again. Staff was overall friendly and helpful.
