    Another lovely holiday

    Recently returned from yet another lovely holiday at OMR. This hotel is our favourite place to go to in Mexico, we have visited numerous times and it doesn't disappoint. We were allocated a lovely room, which happened to be next door to where we stayed last year. It was kept immaculate by our lovely housekeeper. The grounds are beautiful and the gardeners work constantly to Keep them that way. Every member of staff smiles and acknowledges you. We enjoy all the food offered but had a little issue this year of not being able to get into the speciality restaurants without having to wait over an hour. However, one day Kiri came round the loungers asking if people had any problems. She was amazing. Within a very short time she was back telling me that she had spoken with a manager and that I had a table booked for that evening. Amazing service! Kiri then came to find me every day to check if we were happy and to ask if we needed anything. What a valuable member of staff she must be. The only negative we had was regarding the use of the Beach Massage hut. It was bad last year, but much worse this time. They sleep on the treatment tables. They keep all their merchandise underneath the bed covers and eat in there. It's clearly their preferred meeting spot. That said it did not spoil the holiday, we had a wonderful time, and I am pretty sure we will be booking for 2026 shortly.

    Family Reunion & 60th birthday

    We absolutely loved the Resort OMR. We were there 10 days We had really good time, we loved the resort, the food, the restaurants all (the Hacienda buffet really good, Dolce De Vita, Yookoso, Blue Moon, Mikes Coffee, ALL was really good, the entertainment. Most of it the people, the staff makes the trip beautiful bartenders, servers all employees are constantly keeping all clean and doing their best with a smile. I wish I had all names but all are great, just to mention some: Rodrigo Salinas (Thank you all dinners were delicious), Agustin (Mikes coffee), Roberto , Gaby, Kevin from Privilege Guest Services, Moises entertainment team, El Tigre lobby bar, Elder, Celso, all the servers at each restaurant are amazing with a positive attitude and smile always. Rooms so clean, loved it We were 14 of us and we all want to come back every year! Thank you OMR

    A real gem of a resort!

    We just got back from our annual sister trip, and this all inclusive blew me away. You can see how hard the staff work to treat guests well, as we heard many had been before - one couple 34 times! The grounds are intimate and filled with wildlife, and felt very safe. Whatever the staff are paid, pay them even more! The food was spectacular, both buffet and a la cart, though Blue Moon was okay. Every other restaurant had the wow factor, from the Japanese experience to Italian. The entertainment is brought in and had something for everyone, I would go back for the shows alone. By day their was cooking classes, scavenger hunts, cultural experiences - such a great program both for those wanting to party and those wanting to unwind or learn something new. We upgraded to privilege and I found it worth the money. Already planning our next trip back!

    Visit #34

    This was our 34th visit to OMR in 13 years and the first of our 4 planned visits in 2025! Yes, we love OMR! I have written a lot of reviews for OMR over the years and for this review, I want to focus on some new things that we enjoy and some other observations about what makes OMR so special. New additions include the installations of palapas instead of umbrellas around the pools. The palapas provide more shade and they don't topple over in the wind. I also enjoyed the Wednesday afternoon wine tasting! This gives guests an opportunity to enjoy some of the wines offered for purchase and learn about how to enjoy the wine and the origin of each bottle. I bought two bottles of Cava Anna de Cordriu Ice Edition. It's champagne that is just a little sweet. Delicious! The ice bath is another new addition. It's on Wednesday mornings at 8 am out on the beach. No charge. There is an instructor to help if you have never done it before. You stay in for 3 minutes. Very exhilarating way to start the day. The Privilege beach area has a dedicated concierge there during the day to assist with towels, buckets of ice and water and any other requests you may have. As I have stated in all of my reviews of OMR, the #1 reason we return to OMR is the staff! They are the friendliest, funniest, kindest, caring people we have encountered at any resort. And they do not just treat us special because they know us. They treat all guests with the highest level of service. We are on a first name basis with at least 70 of the staff and we consider them as part of our family. But I realized on this trip that it's not just the staff that are fun and friendly. It's also the other guests! It's easy to strike up conversations on the beach, or at a bar. It doesn't matter if you are single or in a group. It's like everyone is happy to be at OMR and enjoys making new friends. We always meet new guests and we also see a lot of returning guests, some of whom we consider dear friends now. We have stayed at other resorts where guests were very standoffish and seemed to avoid interaction. Not at OMR. It's one big family enjoying the resort together. Another observation from my years at OMR. It's amazing to see how many of the staff have been at OMR for years, decades. That is a testament to the way the staff are treated by the management. There is respect between the staff and managers and that reflects their loyalty to OMR. My husband and I feel very blessed to have found OMR. It is a place where we can rejuvenate and bask in the sun as well as a homecoming to reconnect with the staff and catch up on their lives. Thank you OMR! You always exceed our expectations and we can't wait to come back in June!

    Tasty drinks and Friendly Face's

    All the Bartenders and service workers have been so nice and attentive. Jorge and I became friends as soon as I got here. He was always smiling, in a great mood, you can genuinely tell that he loves what he does. Who knew Mexican Gatorade was so delicious. Thanks to everybody who ensured my stay was comfy and relaxing. Until we meet again!! Gracias.
