Kids club activities
Daisy pool activities with Mirelle and miriam I wish they had these kinds of activities for the adults :) I had more fun than my kid did and she really enjoyed herself. I wish I took advantage of the activities a lot sooner. If i ever come back we'll make the most of it sooner

Great time in Mexico
Rooms have good hot water, good room up keep, a/c worked great, friendly service, great shows and lots to do. The coffee shop and ice cream parlor was a nice treat for great family fun. Can't wait to come back, in a couple of years when the kids get older.

Inappropriate manager
The manager at the restaurant by the beach who is named Carlos was extremely rude and inappropriate. The first time we went to that restaurant we asked for a change of table initially our table was the front but it was really hot so we wanted to change our table and when he found out he gave us so much attitude and said “ next time THINK when you are choosing your table” the second day we went there I again asked for our table to be changed mind you this is before we ordered and our table was close to the door which was very uncomfortable when I requested the change of tables instead of even answering me he very inappropriately looked at my bikini top and said “Cover up” not even please or like saying it like a professional. Carlos the manager of pez vala restaurant you are definitely a weirdo. He made me so uncomfortable that i went and changed my bikini to a one piece. The resort looks nice but the manager definitely ruined out experience. We had a much better experience at punta cana resorts. I don’t recommend staying here or going to that restaurant.

Stay somewhere else, this resort has gone downhill!!!
We decided to revisit since we liked it 6 years ago. Big mistake - HUGE!! 1) We booked 2 Eden Junior Suites (preferably next to each other. We arrived a couple hours late (good ‘ol Air Canada Vacations) and they gave one of our rooms that we paid for AWAY! 2) Two days later they still have no room closer to us, so we spoke to hotel Manager (Carla) to have the two family members stay in the other bldg. away from us but this way we aren’t spending our time inside at the front desk. 3) Spent the following day in Playa del Carmen and when we returned, their belongings and safe contents were MISSING! 4) 1.5 hours later they located my sons passport, wallet, house keys and luggage - MINUS HIS BANK CARDS!! So he had to cancel all his banking cards back in Canada. 5) So, the hotel manager doesn’t communicate with their staff, no apologies, nothing. This hotel has gone from a 5 star to a 2 star. Food is also disappointing (except the Japanese restaurant,) What was supposed to be a relaxing well-deserved vacation turned into a disappointing and stressful time.

Great 10 day family trip
Had a wonderful 10 night stay over new years at Ocean Riviera Paradise. We had the privilege upgrade with a junior suite for a family of 4 (kids 6 and 9). The room was plenty spacious and my son (9) found the pull out couch bed to be very comfortable. Room was always cleaned well each day and left very comfortable. Our butler, Adrian, was absolutely amazing. He took care of everything for us and was very responsive to any requests or questions we had. We definitely were able to fully enjoy ourselves because we knew he would take care of anything we needed. If you have the privilege upgrade, I highly recommend requesting Adrian as your butler. We had great food and great experiences all the resort. The staff was incredibly polite and helpful at every turn. Some staff that stood out were Olivia at the beach, Angel at the beach bar, Ives at the privilege pool bar, Ricardo at the privilege restaurant and of course Mirelle and all the kids club helpers. Our kids loved kids club, we checked them in 4 out of the ten days for the two hour sessions. Gave mom and dad a much needed break. This time of year the beach is plenty enough to have fun. Our kids loved playing in the sand and the water is very pleasant for a swim. Overall, this resort is very clean with excellent staff and good food/drinks. I don’t think you will get a better value for what you pay here.
