  Below average.

  Beware!!! Do not buy a timeshare from this hotel, nothing from Imagine Vacations, or Royal Holiday vacations. We got a time share package to try it out for 3 years and am happy that we didn’t invest in a 30 year plan. They have not held up their end of the bargain and they tell and sell you one thing and then give you mediocre service, at best, in return. This hotel is lacking in all areas. There is not enough staff to keep things running smoothly. Things are broken and worn out and need to be replaced. There is only one breakfast option and there was always a long line to get in. There was another restaurant that was supposed to open on our second day and it never did open. Food is bland and no salt and pepper shakers at tables. When we asked why, one said there were not enough to go around for each table. With the amount we pay to stay, they should be able to keep the hotel maintained and well staffed, but it’s nothing like that! The waiters were running around with too many tables to wait that it’s impossible to keep guests happy and well tended to. The buffet always lacked clean dishes and always had a long line to get in. They could also not keep food stocked or it was hard and cold. The room was beautiful but the pillows were awful and hard. The pool water is ice cold and didn’t seem to be maintained until we brought the issue up to the hotel. My daughter scraped her knee and broke her skin open on the gravel inside the kids pool. The gals in the kids club were nice but late for many of the activities and 15 minutes late to open the first time we tried to use it. The kids club was dirty, the bathroom floor looks like you can get an infection from it, and during one activity, my daughter said there was a huge bug on the floor mat and it scared them. It turned out it was a huge cockroach. When I booked the room they told me there was no way to reserve a presidential room with an ocean view and I had to ask upon check in. When I arrived they said they had none and should have asked for that when making the reservation. There was a handful of very great restaurant and wait staff, Alfonso, Ricardo, Angel, and Felix, but other than that, most employees were not very accommodating, were rude, and some seemed upset when you asked for help. Not sure if you have ever heard the say, but the fish rots from the head down. If this hotel doesn’t treat their employees well, they will show this in their actions and unhappiness and it all extends out to the guests.

  Great week at Park Royal Beach

  Amazing Experience at Park Royal Beach Hotel Cancun! Our stay at Park Royal Beach Hotel Cancun was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, the warm and welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a memorable vacation. The entertainment staff truly made our trip unforgettable. Their energy, enthusiasm, and creativity kept everyone engaged, whether it was during pool games, or fun activities throughout the day. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone was having a great time! The specialty restaurants were a culinary delight, with the fish restaurant being our absolute favorite. The fresh, flavorful seafood dishes were perfectly prepared and paired with impeccable service. Dining there felt like a special occasion every night. For those seeking a more serene escape, the quiet adult pool was a hidden gem. It provided the perfect setting for relaxation, with comfortable loungers, attentive service, and a peaceful atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. But the beach was the true highlight of our stay. The soft, powdery sand and crystal-clear turquoise water were like something out of a postcard. Whether we were lounging under a palapa, strolling along the shore, or taking a dip in the ocean, it was pure paradise. If you’re looking for a destination that combines relaxation, fun, and a super chill ambiance, Park Royal Beach Hotel Cancun is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

  Enjoyable Experience

  The Funtastic Team and all the bar tenders engage with guests in a welcoming manner. Jorge worked very hard to make drinks to our specification. The buffet waiters went out of their way to assist us with unique food preparation. The entire resort staff are awesome.

  Please do not book here!!!!

  Do not book here! This hotel has one redeeming quality the location. After that, there is absolutely nothing good about this place. The food is the worst food I have ever had and that includes travelling to Dominican Republic, where the food is low quality. The Italian restaurant in the hotel was the first restaurant in my life that I’ve ever walked out and literally spit my food out in a napkin. I could not swallow it, and despite this they have a lineup to get in which I believe! The food at the buffet is gross and unappetizing. I can’t believe that hotel in Mexico doesn’t have good Mexican food. The only thing that edible at this place was the french fries from the snack bar. There’s no entertainment at this hotel, which is a damn shame because right now with weather the beach has a lot of red flags up so it’s not swimmable and you’re stuck with the hotel pools that have no music playing in the adult section and Very crappy drinks at the pool bar. The rooms are disgusting. They are not cleaned properly. This hotel is poorly managed every time you take a shower your feet are covered in dirt. I had no hot water for my entire stay and the bathroom, smell like faeces and sewage the entire trip , the only redeeming quality for our trip is that we could leave and that we were in a location where we could buy food at the local mall or take the one dollar bus to different restaurants. I would never recommend this hotel to my worst enemy, do not stay here I know this sounds dramatic, but please do not stay here. It was the worst hotel I’ve ever been to , if I could give 0.5 of a star I would. Shout out to their marketing team because we were thinking that this was going to be a good hotel and it absolutely was not. We were catfished! Please save your money either don’t travel or go literally anywhere else. There are amazing hotels in Cancún this is not one of them

  Average place

  We got to the hotel. Nobody welcome us…so we went check in ourself. There’s no distinctive line to which you should go. So I got behind the people in front of us and when was our turn the receptionist disappear. There was the other lady but she was busy. And some more people behind the front desk so ask them can we check in … they said to wait and someone will come. Instead that lady was standing there and chatting with other staff. Room , food and staff was average. Not so much entertainment.
