  Well kept clean rooms.

  A friend stayed here. I joined him a few of the nights. A very clean well kept hotel. I thought wearing a wrist band kind of sucked but other than that thought the place was worth the cost. Didn’t eat at the restaurant. The holiday decorations were very spectacular.

  Best Buffet in Vallarta

  I'd like to thank Capt. Maury and waiter Roberto for their exceptional service and hospitality during my dinner buffet last night. The buffet is probably the best I have experienced in my many years visiting Vallarta. If you'd like to have a dinner overlooking the ocean, Mi Pueblito Restaurant is a must.

  Great time

  Everything about this place is nice. Restaurants, lodging and service. Especially service from Eduardo, who serves outside by the reception area. If you get a chance, you must get a service at the spa. Will definitely return.

  Great Location, Delicious Food, and Exceptional Service

  We stayed at Playa Los Arcos in July 2024 for our honeymoon, and it was amazing. We booked the honeymoon package and received a free upgrade to an ocean view suite upon booking. From the start, the staff made us feel welcome, and the room was beautifully prepared—perfect for a honeymoon. The resort is in a prime location, right at the end of the Malecón in Zona Romántica. We loved taking evening strolls along the boardwalk, and it was also great for exploring local food spots nearby. The hotel food was delicious, with plenty of authentic Mexican options and a different dinner buffet every night. The drinks were great, and we received very frequent service while enjoying the beach. A huge highlight was the service—Roberto made our private beach dinner unforgettable, and Yolanda, the concierge, was so helpful in arranging everything, including our free plated dinners and couples massage (which was great). The rest of the staff, including Javier, Efren, Ricardo, Miguel, Teresa, Juan Miguel, and Osiris, were all friendly and attentive. The only small suggestion we’d have is that the two free plated dinners we received had the same menu options, so a bit more variety would have been nice. That said, it was a wonderful stay overall. If you’re looking for an authentic Puerto Vallarta experience, we highly recommend Playa Los Arcos. The location, service, and atmosphere are perfect for a memorable getaway.

  Deplorable Conditions

  I just returned from a 5 night stay at Playa Los Arcos Beach Hotel. I had very low expectations when booking my last minute reservation for this hotel based on the reviews I read. However, I did not expect such a horrid lodging experience. Overall, the hotel is run down and in complete disrepair. I was accommodated in an ocean front room. I was baffled when I walked into my room. The room was dirty, with dust everywhere. The furniture was tattered and my curtains had holes in them. The bed linens and pillows were stained and yellow. The mattress on my bed had sunken in from decades of use. The furniture was falling apart. I could not open the drawers in my dresser or bed side tables as the drawers just fell out. The closet doors would not close. I had to keep all of my belongings in my suitcase for the duration of my stay. There was mold and rust all over my bathroom. There was absolutely zero ventilation in the bathroom. The water in the shower smelled like sewer. The temperature of the water was impossible to regulate. The water in the shower and sink was either boiling hot or freezing cold. A very limited supply of towels was provided in the bathroom and no facial tissue. The room reeked of mold and dust. The smell was unbearable. I dreaded going to my room because of the unsanitary conditions. I developed a rash from the dirty bed sheets on the first night of my stay. To top everything off, my 2 key cards would not work. My key cards would not open the door, every time I returned to my room from an outing. I had to go to the front desk from my third floor room every single time, stand in line, and ask staff to re-program my key cards. The key cards still did not work, immediately after being reprogrammed by front desk staff. On one occasion, I went to the front desk 5 times during a 30 minute time period because my key cards still didn’t open the door, despite re-programming. The hotel staff just laughed when I complained about having to constantly run down from the third floor to the lobby because my key cards do not work every time I attempt to open my room door. It came to a point where leaving my deplorable hotel room felt like a hassle. I couldn’t wait to check out of this hotel. Because my room was ocean front, there was constant noise from loud music playing at the restaurants, people shouting at the beach (day and night), etc. I can appreciate Mexican charm but the condition of this hotel is anything but charming. There is no excuse for dirt/dust filled rooms, broken furniture, ripped curtains, and such unsanitary conditions. This is blatant lack of care from hotel management and staff.
