We extended our stay for 4 nights because we didn’t want to leave. The pool service, specifically Cocom at the “volleyball pool” was the absolute best we’ve ever had. He works very hard to keep your cup full and checks on you every time he walks by. Andrea at the buffet was also excellent. Hotel very clean and prime location. Grocery store 2 blocks away if you need anything. Malls within walking distance. The only complaint is that there’s no nightly shows on the days where there’s a RIU Party. Not everyone wants to go to a different resort for a party, actually a ton of people didn’t go, the pools/lobby bar were packed but there’s absolutely nothing going on at the hotel those days/nights. Otherwise we love this RIU and will return. This was our 3rd time at this resort.

Overall, we really loved our stay here! The view from our room was incredible, the beach was beautiful and well kept, the grounds were nice and always clean, we could always easily get chairs and umbrellas at the beach and pool, the evening entertainment shows were fun, the people and service were wonderful, checkin and checkout went smoothly, and the drinks were good. We really liked the Asian and Krystal restaurants best. Also, shoutout to Victor in the reception area! The only two negatives were that the food was pretty hit or miss. There were a few things we really liked, but for the most part, the food lacked flavor and proper preparation. The other was the party at the sister resort that we were shuttled to. While this was an optional activity, we didn’t realize that we would not be able to return for over two hours and were left stuck at the other resort until the shuttle could pick us up. If we had known that we would not have gone, but this wasn’t clearly communicated to us before we left. Would just recommend better communication about what to expect and options to return.

Great Service and Property
I would give them an overall great review. The beach was clean. The property was clean, inclusive of the rooms. The buffet had decent options for me as a pescatarian. The tacos at the Mexican fare restaurant we loved. During the few hours between lunch and dinner, the barbecue needs to be more inclusive. The only options for those not having beef burgers, hotdogs, or chicken was chips and guac. Adding a shrimp, fish, or even veggie burger would have been more inclusive. Also, adding some more evening events, specifically that go beyond 9-10pm, since it is an adults-only hotel.

Great facilities and staff, a lovely vacation
I wanted an easy vacation, to read by the beach and drink some cocktails. This was exactly what I got. The food was great, staff amazing. I especially loved the palm tree lined beach area and teal water. I picked this resort because I saw reviews that it was quiet - and while that may be so comparatively to other party resorts, there was still loud music blasting at the pools and loud concerts in the courtyard every evening till 11. My one main suggestion is having an actual quiet pool (with the PA from the water activities pointed away from it) where folks can relax and listen to the waves. Oh, and no fans in the bathroom was kinda weird. But anyway was generally very happy and had a great trip! Oh and not the resorts fault - but the people trying to sell you timeshares in the airport and tricking you into thinking they are the hotel shuttle is very confusing!

Great property
The food was top notch, and the employees were all very helpful and friendly. The only negative issue I had was that the bar in the resort's lobby was not well set up and the service was slow due to the inefficient setup.
