Awesome hotel in a perfect setting. Did not feel like we needed to leave the resort. Staff are fantastic and always on hand for whatever needed. All inclusive was superb.

Playa Vacation
Amazing staff, amazing location. Great walk ability outside of resort. Beach was beautiful. Will definitely come back.

Riu Palace Mexico
We stayed January 2-9th 2025. NO issues the food was good and lot's of choices. Alex was excellenta and getting a chair by the pool at 10:00 was not a problem.

Overall we have enjoyed this break, however, there are few things not so good.. My wife does not drink coffee, she likes tea. There are no kettles so we had to order room service to get a pot of hot water. Bearing in mind us Brits enjoy tea and there are quite a few Brits here they should be able to provide a kettle. The corridor is noisy due to it being marble, trolleys, suitcases all day/night. The corridors echo. Food was very good in buffet and restaurants, plenty of choice, good quality. Beach is beautiful, we were able to get a sunbed most days. Rooms as expected, they are dated but OK. Rooms cleaned to a good standard. Hotel grounds lovely and Impressive Animation team good and fun. Entertainment hit and miss. No bath robes in room? Why? There is a jacuzzi bath in the room? Lots of friendly animals, agouti, spider monkey and Mexican raccoon We have a few days to go and looking forward to it.

Great hotel
Overall Riu Palace Mexico is a great place. The property is beautiful and well maintained, The beach is also great with a lot of plum trees. Buffets have an excellent variety of food. We loved Mexican, Crystal, and Steak House restaurants. Would definitely recommend them. If you like your steak medium or medium rare , order rare. The service in the Buffett, restaurants, bars in all other areas was great! Staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. There is no reservation needed to get to the restaurants , first come first serve! We love it! Guys can dress shorts to the restaurants, which is also vey nice ! Room is a good size, beds are pretty comfortable. Nice balcony. Pillows are vey uncomfortable. There is no wall between the room and toilet/shower area. No privacy :(. It feels like you sit on the toilet right in the room. Who came up with this room design?! There is a jacuzzi between the room and bathroom area. Basically, this jacuzzi is in the middle of the room . Instead of jacuzzi, it would be nice to have at least some kind of divider between the room and toilet. We talked to other couples at the hotel and they had the same complains about toilet not isolated from the living area. I really hope with the next remodeling the hotel will do something about this.
