Apr 25, 2025My 50th Birthday Trip
Great Hotel! Very clean, comfortable beds and everything you need in a central location. The shower screens glass wall is slightly see through. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of variety. It is very busy but well organised. All the staff were helpful. My only criticism is that I booked for the executive lounge access & we only got told we couldn’t have it when we checked in!! It would have been more out of courtesy from the Hotel, to be informed prior to our arrival, so that we could have prepared.

Welcoming and helpful from arrival through to departure. Clean and well maintained throughout. Efficient well organised staff, from the doorman through reception, breakfast staff and room attendants. We could not think of any way this could be improved.

Wonderful New York location
We had a wonderful stay at the Riu new York on 8th avenue. The hotel is all that we've expected. Highly recommended!

The hotel is clean and the bed was comfortable. But, the rooms are very "bare bones"...nothing extra. It's been a long time since I've stayed in a hotel that didn't provide coffee....not in the room and not in the lobby. Well, yes....you can buy coffee in the lobby café for $5. This was our first time at this hotel. I doubt if we'll return. There are better options in NYC.

Excellent hotel and location
Great hotel in a very good location. Just a few blocks from Times Square and within walking distance of lots of restaurants etc. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Great views from the room also.
