Apr 18, 2025A Lovely Traditional Hotel
We have just returned home from a lovely stay in this beautiful and traditional hotel. We were very worried a day before leaving because of a number of unkind reviews. The hotel looks just like the pictures. The rooms are traditional but very clean and the bed was very comfortable. If you want modern chic then book a different hotel. This one doesn’t pretend to be anything other than traditional and it is a really nice place to stay. The location is excellent, the breakfast was great and the majority of the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the rooftop bar it is stunning to look out over the city in the evening and at night when your view is the lit up Acropolis. Ignore bad reviews if you have already booked this hotel go with a positive mindset and enjoy your stay. We certainly did!

Great location downtown. Close to everything. Check it was very business like. Not very welcoming but sufficient. No information about the hotel at check in or in our room. Luggage person was very good. Room had 1 accessible plug. Found another at floor level behind curtain. No USB’s of any kind. TV did not work. Shower dripped all the time. No information in the room. No counter space in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, Shower first day of two went hot/cold, back and forth. Left towels hanging per their request to save energy but they still replaced them. Breakfast was plentiful. Eggs, fired and omelets were cold, no full yogurt and never refilled. Hardly any fruit choices, no coffee at table. Had to go get our own. Lots of bread choices and cereal as well as juice choices. No dishes removed from the table. No on was friendly. Didn’t feel welcomed. Swimming pool never opened. Didn’t even know about a fitness area until I went on their website to learn more about the hotel. Very beautiful decor in and throughout the hotel. Fresh flowers, very clean and neat. Bell persons were always with a nice greeting when coming in or out. If we came back to Athens think would choose a different hotel, especially for the price we paid.

Great location - Good Hotel
We had read differing reviews of the hotel but decided to book due to its central location and roof top views of Acropolis and Athens. Overall, this is a good hotel. Clean, well located and friendly staff, particularly housekeeping, waiters and waitresses. Rooms are simple, but made up nicely and spacious. Soaps, shampoos and body washes are provided, as are gowns and slippers etc. We had no issue with noise other than expected with a central city hotel. Breakfast was great. Huge selection of hot and cold food and fresh brewed coffee by the pot. We enjoyed the Greek options too, including salads, greek yogurt and breads. We understand the rooms are dated, and this may not be to everyone's taste. But for the price we paid we were very satisfied. Overall I would recommend it. You're in the heart of Athens and everything is more or less in walking distance of main attraction, restaurants, bars and cafes.

Apr 06, 2025Aged Hotel Trading on an Old Reputation - think 3 Star at best.
Billed as a “5 Star hotel” but falls short of this in every way shape and form, besides its location. The bathroom window is held close with magazine, but it’s a five star hotel. The support bar is broken in the shower, but it’s a five star hotel. The bedside table has an embedded and broken radio clock from what I estimate to be 1963, but it’s a five star hotel. They are no unused plugs and poor lighting, but it’s a five star hotel. The room is lacking amenities expected in a hotel of this caliber such as in-room iron, coffee or tea, or robe. Don’t waste your time or money. Stay elsewhere.

F***king worst of the worst
This is the absolutely without a doubt the worst hotel and the worst wholesome experience of my life. 5 stars? Anyone who slept in a hotel ever in their life can pressume what that means. The rooms were not renovated since the greek empire, tv without a signal, minibar out of function. They took the furniture from my dead greatgrandmother, also the first toilet ever inventer and put it in a 5 star hotel. Staff is so rude that we almost had a phisical coincodence, calling me a f***ing tourist for sitting in a bar thats supposed to be working but their hospitality decided it shouldnt work at that moment. Not a hello, goodbye, thank you for the whole trip and for the end, i asked for a blanket because extra is not provided, first they said sorry no but then somebody came to our room and threw it at me. This f***ing place should get a sanitary inspection and people should get fired
