Yoga on the beach.
Loretto was a fantastic yoga on the beach instructor. Great way to start a Saturday morning. The sand, the ocean, and her soothing voice. A great stretch to begin the day in Miami. Thank you Loreto it was a real treat. We loved it. Worth setting an alarm for.

There are much better options for the price
First, I will say this is first hotel I've ever stayed in where I had to switch rooms due to the smell. There was an overpowering chemical/ air freshener smell in the first room we were given and it didn't dissipate at all even after leaving the window open for an hour while we walked around. We had to see (or rather smell!) several rooms before finding one that did not have this issue. Also, we left in a hurry and I accidentally left a memory foam pillow and some clothing (two bras, a long-sleeve shirt, and some shorts) in the room in a drawer. I called several times in the days after we left and was only able to get through to a person once. The hotel never found my items or followed up with me. While I understand that the hotel may not be legally responsible for these items, it was very poor service that for items that are low value / of little use to others, we were not able to get these back. I expect much better service from a supposedly four star hotel.

Good location but your per night room charge will change at checkout
The location was great and staff is nice - but that’s about it for the good. First, I had an issue with the rate that I booked at - it changed upon checkout to almost double per night! When I let the front desk know, they said they had to “add a tax - to the per night room rate” that I confirmed the rate at, so beware. It’s been consuming hours of my time to get the rate corrected. Housekeeping is only upon request and it’s impossible to get new towels. Freezing hallways - we actually had to purchase sweaters because the halls are 40 degrees. Rooms are outdated, old, and stained. Walls are thin - you can hear everything. Food on site is great. The bartender in the lobby was outstanding. The band/music was awesome. There was a HH for Bonvoy members which was nice. Overall, I’m shocked this was a Marriott property. I recommend to call and confirm your final rate since I wasn’t the only one that had it change. One of my nights went from $445 a night to $635 a night. Imagine having to leave and deal with this when you get home. I recommend to pass on this property.

Most disgusting Marriott I have ever stayed
I would prefer to give this a negative star, however the option wasn’t available. This is the most disgusting, un-clean Marriott hotel I have ever stayed at. I am surprised Marriott allows their franchise name to be used so carelessly and as a result I will rethink any future bookings with the franchise. I was initially placed in a room that had stained sheets and a broken bed with a dirty bathroom. When I went to the front desk to change rooms, I was first told the hotel was sold out, so I would need to remain in the disgusting room with a broken bed, after escalating the issue I was given a new room. The new room was better, but still worse than a motel on an abandoned highway. I have uploaded videos and pics of the upgraded room. Below is a summary of issues. I would love to switch rooms again or receive a full refund so I can switch to another hotel, however that is not a current option from this hotel management. 1) The toilet seat looked like a public restroom seat at a gas station restroom. Housekeeping did replace the toilet seat after I complained..but whyyyyyyy not do that before you place a guest in a room? 2) The place is dusty and filthy, it could use a renovation, however if housekeeping continues to clean as it currently cleans, a renovation is useless. 3) I turned my bathroom light on in the middle of the night to see baby roaches running around the bathroom countertop. I feel like I am currently in the Twilight Zone. Please don’t get conned and stay far away from this property. To be subjected to this filth at $350+/night should be against the law.

Excellent value and nice experience at Royal Palm.
Great stay in South Beach at one of the old school Tribute Portfolio properties. Davina at the front desk got stay off to the best possible start with wonderful and helpful service at front desk. Beachfront room up on 15th floor offered superb views of ocean and beach. Superb buffet breakfast with excellent service both mornings from Pedro. Nice room that offered quiet comfort. Good location with restaurants and shopping within short walk. I think this property is good value for the cost - way less money than the fancier and newer properties but still a nice experience.
