  First class

  The hotel itself was fantastic. The room was lovely. The food , drinks and entertainment were excellent. The pools and outside seating areas were idilic and so relaxing . The spa was also lovely and relaxing with excellent staff to explain the facilities to us . The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and could not do enough for us . On our last day a lovely hand written note from Carla L from the guest experience team was left in our room with a bottle of wine . 10out of 10 .

  Excellent few days - sold on the brand!

  I booked this holiday as a surprise for my wife - 3 nights away, with no expectations other than to relax by the pool with some nice weather. On arrival we were so pleased with how warm and welcoming the staff at the check in were. They were incredibly helpful and refused to let me carry my own bags to our room. Our room was much better than expected. I booked the holiday in the BA sale and expected a basic room. The room was anything but basic. Clean, spacious, well designed and with a 'his and hers' sink. The balcony area and the view were just spectacular and a real bonus. We tried most of the restaurants including a buffet dinner at the World Cafe (breakfast restaurant), Portofino and Oceana. My wife is vegan and the staff made sure to be proactive in making sure she was catered for. The options in the buffet varied each night so some nights would be better than others - the night we went to the buffet dinner there were a decent amount of options, so we did not have to ask for any vegan dishes. Breakfast was brilliant - fruit, cooked foods, breads, pastries, cereals - best hotel orange juice I've ever tasted. The atmosphere was brilliant. In January the hotel was not extremely busy so you felt like you had a private resort at times. However in the middle of the day there were plenty of people around the pool and at dinner times, the restaurants were full so there was a nice atmosphere, without ever having to wait for a table or a pool lounger. Very pleasantly surprised by how good our experience was, we're now looking at another family holiday with our daughter and will look again to the Hyatt brand, specifically their family friendly 'Dreams' option.

  Very relaxing stay

  Lovely clean, comfortable, well located hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Konte who was always on had with information and a friendly smile. All service was exceptional! The food is very good, especially the Italian restaurant. Very fresh and full of flavor! We tried the buffet for lunch one day, and as we attended later in the day, we didn't have much time to enjoy our meal. Just after sitting down to eat we were told the buffet would be closing and we had ten minutes to get anything else we wanted. We felt very rushed and couldn't enjoy the meal properly. Feedback for the hotel is to guests know the time the buffet will stop serving if they attend later in the day. We would have gone to the Barefoot Grill had we known. Overall we had a wonderful and relaxing stay and would return!

  Not good enough

  Where do I start, Secrets has facilities of a 5 star hotel but I’m afraid service of a 3 star hotel and it’s not because the staff are not good, they are, there’s just not enough of them, in the Portifino restaurant the service is awful, the last time we were in there we waited 40 minutes to order our meal and at breakfast we arrived at 9.55am got our breakfast at 10.25am and was told we are closing in 15 minutes. The Chef in that restaurant must have shares in a salt mine, every dish wash covered in salt. We went all inclusive for a week cost over £700 a day, so when we saw we had 2 one hour vouchers for the health club we naturally thought we could have a free massage, but no, when I enquired they were to use in the sauna and indoor pool only, after that 2 hour vouchers you had to pay to swim indoors, unbelievable ! Now try to get a drink upstairs, when the entertainment was on, they have maximum of 2 waiting’s serving 200 people and when you go to bar to serve your self they tell you, were are you sitting we will send some one over, not enough staff. Sorry to moan but when you pay that amount of money you should expect decent service and that’s not the staffs fault, it’s management. The other restaurants were great, including the self service and the steak restaurant was brilliant.

  Very nice stay, read the HB small print

  Very nice adults only hotel, the previous reviews on TA are fair and accurate, this is a very nice, well run, quality hotel. So why not a 5 star review? Well, we booked Half Board, Preferred, with Deluxe Ocean view room which was very nice and worth the extra and we booked direct on the Hyatt’s website. When you read the website, you are led to believe that that package gives you access to all the A. La Carte restaurants for evening meals (HB basis, preferred); this is not the case. You only get a 20% discount in the 3 restaurants. The World Cafe is very nice and part of the HB package. So, when checking in, to learn of the above restriction was disappointing. The pre sales material is simply not transparent enough; I put his down to me not reading the details enough, HOWEVER, when we started to talking to other guests on the same package during our stay everybody, and I mean everybody all made the same comment. Several couples, including us, raised this with reception and responded with a voucher for one meal upgrade. It is worth pointing out that all the HB couples involved in the discussion booked through agents and also directly with Hyatts. TIP - down load the App onto your phone, set the hotel location then read all the details BEFORE BOOKING, they are buried away nice and deep App. The hotel has a very nice spa, not included in the price, 70 Euro per person for a week is worth the money if you enjoy a daily spa. I hope Hyatt responds to this HB feedback because the hotel is fully aware of the HB dinning issue and their own marketing material,needs improving. Apart from the above, first class stay and highly recommend for a luxury relaxing stay.
