Phenomenal trip, Edgar and Armando were amazing guides. Knowledgeable, friendly, and fun. Two stops for snorkeling and one at a waist deep sand bar. We saw plenty of fish, sea turtles and a lobster at the first snorkel spot, the second one we saw starfinish and stingrays. We swam with stingrays at the sandbar!! Cerviche and sandwichs were provided. Ten thumbs up

Fantastic second visit!!
Had a fantastic time at the Explorean for our second visit! We will be back again! The food was excellent, staff very attentive, and the excursions were wonderful. Want to thank Armando and Edgar for the fantastic time on the excursions. They were inclusive, friendly, kind and patient. Keep up the great work, Explorean Cozumel!!

Great Stay at the Explorean
Just returned from a one-week stay at the Explorean. This is a very unique All-Inclusive and a great value for all of the amenities that it provides. The resort is located in a jungle setting behind the Fiesta Americana. The resort contains 14 units, with each unit consisting of four apartments/rooms, two uppers and two lowers. The Explorean has a restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as a pool, small hot tub at one end of the pool (perhaps warm tub is a better description), and a bar. In addition, you have access to all of the amenities at the Fiesta Americana. From the lobby of the Explorean it is a short 2-minute walk to the lobby of the Fiesta Americana and perhaps another 2-minute walk to beach area. Upon check-in you are provided with a schedule of excursions that are offered daily at no charge. No reservations are required to participate, you simply show up in the lobby at the designated time which varies depending on the excursion. Our list of possible excursions included: 1) A snorkel at Dzul-Ha (a short walk from the resort – Equipment provided), 2) A bike ride to a Cenote, 3) Entrance into Chankanaab an ecological park with a sea lion show, beach chairs, and replicas of Mayan ruins, 4) A buggy tour of the island (Buggy in this case refers to a motor vehicle that you drive with stops at interesting locations), 5) A History/Culture tour which included cooking some local dishes, And 6) A 4 hour boat/snorkel tour with three stops. We participated in three of the excursions. Our room; contained a small refrigerator which was restocked daily, a room safe, a rain forest shower head, and a sliding glass patio door that opened towards the jungle. (Note the absence of TV in the room). Each morning between 7:00 and 7:15 a picnic basket is placed outside your front door which contains coffee or tea, orange juice, and banana bread muffins. The Fiesta Americana, in addition to the buffet area, has three restaurants that require reservations: Italian, Mexican, and Asian. We never had a problem obtaining reservations at the any of the restaurants. Cozumel is not known for its beautiful beaches but it does provide very good snorkeling. I snorkeled daily in front of the Fiesta American, sometimes exploring the water to the right as far as the Money Bar, or to the left as far as the Bahia Beach Club. I saw barracuda, large French Angel fish, Starfish, and Yellow Sting rays on a daily basis. I saw one lobster, and on the boat tour we saw turtles and Southern Sting Rays. The staff was great at both the Explorean and the Fiesta. Shout out to Gabriel at the Explorean. This Explorean provides more amenities than any All –Inclusive resort that I have stayed at. I'm so glad we stayed at this resort.

Great trip!
Awesome trip with amazing stuff! The snorkeling spot itself was breathtaking. The water was crystal clear, and we could see an incredible variety of marine life, including colorful fish, coral reefs, and even a few sea turtles. The guides pointed out unique species and shared interesting facts, which made the trip even more enjoyable.

The Explorian excursions
Julio and Edgar, were our excursion guides, they both made sure to converse and make everyone on the tour feel welcomed!! On our snorkeling boat trip, we were able to see sting rays, sea turtles, variety of fish, lobsters, and starfish. Very enjoyable trip!
