Jan 17, 2025Welcome Home and reconnecting with our friend, Ignacio
We’ve been coming here as guests of an Elite Member and our favorite part of the vacation is reconnecting with Ignacio’s, one of the poolside servers. He always remembers us and has become so much more than a server. He is truly a great friend. This resort is beautiful and has a nice variety of on property restaurants as well as being a short cab ride away from some great restaurants in nearby Bucerias. Upon arrival, staff members greet you with “Wecome home” and then strive to ensure you’re vacation is all you had hoped for.

Best resort in Mexico! We love Patricia and Gemma! All the amenities - not too large - Best beach - friendliest people!
Villa Palmar Flamingos is our favorite resort in Mexico! We have been coming every winter for almost 10 years and we LOVE working with Patricia (front desk manager) and Gemma (Elite concierge). They work so hard to make sure our vacation is 5 stars every time we come! Thank your for taking such great care of us and all of the guests here! We have brought many friends here who have also become members. Patricia and Gemma make us feel like this ja our “home away from home!”

Amazing Hydrotherapy and Massages
Our hydrotherapy was such an incredible and relaxing experience lead by Nahiely who helped us with all our needs. We also got amazing massages from Andrea, Eve, and 3 other masseuses. We all felt very comfortable and relaxed from this experience. The hydrotherapy really added to the massage experience!

Wonderful stay as always!
We absolutely love our vacations at Villa Del Palma flamingos! From the accommodations to the food to the wonderful service we receive, we are delighted each time. Gemma, our elite concierge is absolutely amazing! She always greets us with a smile and helps us with anything we need! We can’t wait to go again!

Vomiting for days!! Terrible management! This was our second time at this location, the first time we stayed 8years ago and it was great, relaxing and fun for whole family. This time the computers were completely down and everything had to be written by hand. (We were told they had been down for a month!) They took two hours to check us in and give us our room key. When we walked into our room with our kids, a NAKED man walked out of the master bedroom. They doubled booked the room!! Security risk for sure! So we had to wait even longer to get reassigned another room. When traveling with tired kids all day, this was a frustrating start to our vacation. The best food was the fresh omelettes for breakfast and the Japanese restaurant. But most of the food was cafeteria quality (buffet breakfast, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, chicken tenders)… the Mexican food was diner chain quality, think Chilies. The desserts were just OK, nothing special. The room service food had good fajitas and burritos. However, they kept bringing us room service we didn’t order, again issues with everything being hand written. The rooms are starting to show their age, everything is looking worn out, chipped, cracked, sandy floors and sheets/towels had stains. (I’ve stayed at nicer/cleaner 2-3 stars hotels) We only drank from water bottles the whole trip but after 35hrs of being only at the resort, our group started to get travelers diarrhea. Over the next five days, six people in our group were VOMITING, having DIARRHEA and fevers. The beach is of course beautiful with amazing sunsets and sunrises. The pools are awesome but out of an 8day trip we only swam twice because we were too sick or caring for someone who was sick. The kids club didn’t have enough art supplies for my little kid to join and wouldn’t let my older kids play video games while art classes for littles were going on… so that was a bummer. The SPA was the best part about the trip, lovely service and facilities. Recommend going an hour before service to enjoy facilities and get the detox wrap, back massage and facial. (The first time we visited the resort they had an ant problem in the steam room but this time no ants. So that improved.) Unfortunately, we will not be returning. It just wasn’t worth the price for mediocre accommodations and poor management.
