Check other hotels before going here
Not 4 stars hotel at all. 3 stars at the best sunny day. And it is only because this hotel is close to the town. Beach is good, but be ready to have one towel for a beach and pool all day, you cannot give a towel back and come later and take a new one. Bar in the room: 4 cans of pop, and nobody will refill it. We asked the guy at reception, and he said it was a welcome drink. Restaurants are bad. Do not waste your time waiting for your food. You will be frustrated. Just go to buffet, which is way better. Almost nobody speaks English, even at reception. And the top one, it was NO HOT WATER in the room last night. After a few tries to call reception, someone answered the phone and just disappeared, so we should go there. Just think a few times before booking this resort. We spent almost 4000 CAD through Sunwing. We stayed at the same company resort Viva Heavens in the Dominican Republic. It was smaller, cheaper, more comfortable, and more friendly than this resort. When you arrive, the employee of Viva is trying to sell you a "VIP" package promising a present or dinner. Is there any sense in this "VIP" package after this review?

Fine vacation
I am still here on my vacation day 3 ..it is a nice beach but be aware that there are many sand bags and a cliff as there must have been a storm recently that did alot of damage to the beach. You can still swim fine. They have a members only section in the Beach and in the restaurants. Once my son moved our regular chair in the main bed area between water and members section and was asked to move but when others did it no one ever asked them to move. And when in the restaurants, they take a long time to reset the tables so when you're at the buffet sometimes no where to sit..many dirty tables not being clean. Even members only tables have no one there but you can't sit there. Same at the beach. No one there but can't go near it can't go in front of it. Service takes long time at the a la cart restaurant (bamboo) havnt tried the others yet. A la cart restaurants are first come first served. No reservation At the buffet I really appreciated when I saw the chef stop someone who wanted to mix serving spoons with another dish. Being vegan or anyone with an allergy would not appreciate fish or meat in their vegetarian dish. We are vegan and they have plenty to eat for us and non diary milk. Amazing! They have a little cafe like Starbux here it is fantastic! Lattes and frappes Excursions are very expensive! No water bottles in your room or anywhere. They have self serve water refill stations. Mini fridge in room does not get refilled. Many vendors on the beach offering everything . There is a sister hotel you can use but it is not next door it is 4 hotels over Lots of kids very family friendly The pool restaurant is great they're always open when the main restaurants are not. Even all night. They made us a special vegan pizza it was delicious This hotel doesn't have the loud entertainment by the pool in the afternoon which is nice. It's peaceful
