Great resort with tons of activities
We are on our final day and don’t want to leave. We had a fabulous week. They have so many activities you can take part in. The entertainment staff is non stop! There was also a visiting instructor from Canada - Cheryl. AMAZING! We never missed her aqua classes and we also did her zumba and yoga. Hazel and Wilbur of the entertainment team are just the best :) Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Juan Carlos in the buffet greeted us every evening in the buffet and is the best server ! The a la carte restaurants were so good and loved my morning coffee at the coffee shop. We will defenitely come back. ZERO complaints !

Some fun experiences but many inconveniences.
First the good: the trapeze was a wonderful experience for our 8 year old and the food at the restaurants was good. The pool foam party was fun. The New Year’s Eve party and desert tables were fun. The beach was lovely as was the landscaping. The bad: the bathroom floor in our room, 1140, was hot. We called and were told that everything was normal. There was no AC in the bathroom so if you wanted privacy, the room became unbearably hot. This was not the case in room 1138. Also there was only one towel bar and absolutely no place to dry your wet bathing suit! Our hot bathroom floor came in handy for that. There were signs outside forbidding drying your laundry on your patio! The bathroom faucet did not deliver cold water no matter what position you turned the faucet to. For three adults we only had two room keys. When I lost my key (I suspect under the safe), the desk clerk offered to give us only one new key for a charge of $5. Since we already had one good key, we declined. So we had one key for 3 adults for the rest of our visit. There was only one luggage rack so no place for two of us to put our luggage. There were only 3 drawers. The water was non-potable so we had to go down the hall to get drinking water and water to brush our teeth with. No AC at the buffet so very hot at mealtimes, in the 80’s at the end of December. There was no bottled water provided and nothing in the mini-fridge.

Will not come back.....
We spent Christmas and New Year at this place. The first one of us (party of four) caught the stomach flu or food poisning day 3 and then we all took turns. And considering the sounds coming from other rooms we were not alone. According to the dive center several booked dive trips had been canceled due to this as well. It makes you think about the level of hygien from both staff and visitors in the buffets. Pros: - Friendly and helpful staff - Located near/on the beach -10 min cab ride (200 pesos one way) to 5th Av and the shopping area -The diving is really good, knowledagble and friendly guides. Cons: - The food is really really bad. Both in the common buffet areas as in the al a carte restaurant options you get included (3 per week of stay). Not even the New Years Eve dinner was good. A majority of everything we ate was tasteless, dry, chicken and fish etc not properly cooked etc etc. The list can be made long. There were some meals that was ok but you might think that was an perception since everything else was so bad. -The rooms is very small with very limited storage for closthing. As of being a family of four with teenage kids it was way to small. -To claim there is wifi in rooms is a straight up lie. We even had to change room due to absolute non exisiting wifi but not even that helped. Constantly getting logged of the wifi and had to sit on the balcony to get connection. - Way to few sunbed at the pool area. If you got there later than 07,30 you had no chance of getting a sunbed. And there were a lot of people at the pool area early reserving sunbed and then not showing up until lunch time. Summary: Mexico and Playacar is really nice but we won´t come back to this place again.

Sun lounger use
We are currently on holiday and so far the hotel is good. The issue is that the pool does not have enough sun loungers and these are all gone by 8am! Staff do nothing if the beds are left reserved and not used til after lunch and onwards. Signage around the pool is obviously not working so appropriate action is required. People are sitting on chairs and while beds are left reserved for hours. Very disappointing
